Thunderstorms are headed our way! Looks like we may get some much needed rain. It is almost 8:00AM central daylight time. Here's a link to the radar - which will of course, look differently if you click on it later today!

I love thunderstorms too. I know you all were needing some rain, so I hope the rain comes but not bad storms. We had a beautiful day yesterday and it's suppose to be nice and up to 71 degrees today, but the weekend is predicted to be wet. Figures.....lol

Oh, Gayle, I hope that you get a nice slow easy rain and a lot of it!!!! It looks like you're definitely going to get some. Enjoy!!
We had a beautiful day yesterday but we have a chance for showers all weekend too. My husband is ready for it to dry up so he can start planting!

Hope they are good storms. The tornadoes that hit Tampa the other day were 20 miles from where I live. We got some much needed rain.

Is that Tricksie inside that rose? Love it! Where do you find these?
Emnjoy your thunderstorms.
I'm in the same weather pattern as Janet. Today, I got my lounge chair out of the basement and laid out on the deck for about an hour, reading. It was delightful!

We got a couple of inches of rain - not much wind or lightening so that was good. It is still drizzly raining and it is supposed to rain tomorrow too. Yay!!!

We got a sprinkle, that was it. We need more rain!!! We don't need the storms they had in Brenham though. Did y'all see the news? Really destructive winds.

No, I haven't seen the Brenham stories - I knew there was some bad storms yesterday, but didn't even know it was in Brenham.
It rained gently most of the night, and is still drizzling down light rain - the BEST way for it to come. It's supposed to stop by late afternoon.
Marilyn, I'm so sorry you all didn't get much - I'm hoping you will today! Gary was at Three Rivers - between San Antonio and Corpus - and they only got a sprinkle too. They really need a lot of rain down there!

We got 3" yesterday and it's rumbling again, but I don't think we'll get much. It looks like it's running up 59.

59 runs through Carthage, where we live! It's thundering right now and our great dane is pacing...so we are about to get another big storm!

OK Betsi, did you get more rain? We got some this morning, but it's all gone now. I got just over 2 1/2 inches at my house. My garden LOVED it!!!

We ended up with 7.5 inches over the 2 days. Yesterday was beautiful - you could hear the grass growing!

We only got 0.6 inches of rain over the weekend. Cuero, just north of us, got 7 inches in 2 hours on Saturday. We're downstream, so now the river is really up. It's expected to crest at 5 to 6 feet above flood stage, which is not considered to be a significant flood. There was lots of trash floating down yesterday. No flow in a long time, so lots of trash to wash downstream.
Our county is still considered to be in an exceptional drought, the worst of five categories on the U.S. Drought Monitor. They say it would take 12 inches of rain spread over several days to end the drought.
