Okay, this is my 4th try to post this. I am beginning to think I’m not supposed to for some reason. Melissa and Garrett are moving here as soon as school is out. Rex is at a point with his business that he needs some help to keep things going, and asked Garrett if he was interested. He wants to learn to build homes since firefighters often have a sideline job, this would be a very good one for the future. Two of the fire departments in the area are hiring, and Garrett hopes to get on with one of them and work part time for Rex. He can work full time if he doesn’t get on with one of the FD’s.

Melissa has already completed the admissions process for the college here and hopefully be accepted to the RN program and then to the BSN program at the local university. She wanted to go to a branch of Univ. of Texas and get straight into a BSN program, however, that option isn’t available here. She will have to get her RN and then upgrade to BSN, and the university is a branch of Univ. of Houston, not UT. However, the cost of living is lower here than in central Texas so they have decided to come here, work this plan and hopefully be able to move back to central Texas, after Melissa finishes, to good jobs with some money already in savings. She wants to be a nurse practitioner specializing in labor and delivery, so she will need to move to get her MSN unless they begin to offer that here in the future.

They are here this weekend doing some work for Rex on his Parade house. Melissa came down early yesterday and checked out some apartments and visited with the college.

Our other daughter Karen also came down this weekend, and while M. and G. are working, we will check out a few more apartments and report back to them.

Karen will be the only one of our family still in central Texas, at least for a while, and our plans to find a home or land in the Wimberley area are on hold for now. We have to wait a little longer to see where these kids land.

So they are all here this weekend, though busy!!!

Finally you got your post on! I don't understand why you're having trouble.

I'm sure that you're very thrilled with having Melissa and Garrett move back in your area!!! It sounds like they have made their plans so now are just waiting for the doors to open. I'll be praying that all goes well!! How exciting for you!!!! Tell Melissa that she needs to come on and say Hello once in a while!!!!

Tell Melissa that she needs to come on and say Hello once in a while!!!!

I've been telling her to check back in, but when she is on the computer she seems to spend most of her time on Facebook and MySpace. She's so busy with work and school she really doesn't have much recreational computer time. She's finally figuring things out about life and priorities, so don't want to have her on here when she needs to be studying or resting.

Your thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated!!

I'm glad you finally were able to post Marilyn. I don't know of anyone else ever having problems here except for you now and then.

It's wonderful you'll have your girls closer.....at least for awhile. Just think of all the fun things you'll get to do together....how exciting.

That sounds like a wonderful plan, Marilyn! My bil is a fire fighter and he has a home remodeling business on the side. He started with a landscape business, sold it and now has the home remodel business. He makes a lot of money between fire fighting and his business!

Good luck to them both, I know you will love having them so close!

I don't know why I'm having trouble either. It seems that it is happening when I'm on hubby's computer or on my work computer. It may be that they are set to log you off when there is no activity and typing a post may not be registering as activity. All I know is when it happens it is very frustrating!! You get your post all ready to go hit submit, and it's gone. You get a login screen instead.

Thank you for the well wishes. Being parents of grown-ups is tougher than expected!!
