Thought I'd start this thread due to how slow it's been lately.

Roll Call!! Everyone needs to check in and let us all know what's up.

We just had the kids here for the weekend and it was great!!!!

I'm here! Just busy at my internship. It ends in two weeks, I graduate in three weeks, and I start grad school in a little less than two months. I am in the process of interviewing for graduate field placement and I'm super nervous about it. The placement I really want is the most competitive. There are a lot of people applying and only six slots. Four of those slots are paid which would really be helpful. I don't want to get my hopes up, but I'll let you guys know what happens.

Anyway, that's a few reasons why I've not been around very much. I read more than I post though.

We are leaving tomorrow to go to Branson for a commissioning service for my son to become a missionary in Scotland. I'm sure it will be an emotional time for us all. They will leave in November.

Here - just filling in with the VP today and busy for a change! Wet weekend, 7.5 inches of rain, but beautiful yesterday and today. Love sitting on the 18th floor instead of the 12th. I can almost see Marilyn, Betsi, and Gayle from up here!

I went to Red Deer on the weekend to visit my best friend and her fiance. I took Scott with me (her fiance is named Scott too and we all have way too much in common :)) We went to help her out with wedding favors, and ended up getting 189 done before we ran out of her homemade candy. We played some board games throughout the evening, and then she and I stayed home to talk all night while the boys went out on the town!
We had a 6 hour drive home yesterday, and we stopped at a bunch of places to take pictures. My parents were here in the city for the weekend and were sticking around until I got home before they left. We ate some pizza at my grandma's house and after my parents left, my grandma, uncle, and Scott taught me how to play Canasta and we played a couple of rounds before I went home to go straight to bed!
So I've been hectic for a couple of days :)

Oh yeah and I want to add, on Saturday tickets went on sale for an AC/DC concert here in August. My brother managed to get us 8 tickets, really close to the stage! So many people couldn't get through, I don't know anybody else who is going. The concert sold out in about half an hour. So there will be Scott and I, my brother and his girlfriend, my parents, and two of my parents' friends :D When my brother called me to say he got through, it made my whole weekend :D :D :D

It has been slow here.
I am babysitting my great grandson furbie, he is a Pom and about 3 llbs.
Tricksie with her ocd is driving him nuts and me too. Glad the groomer is here for her so that we can have some quiet time.

Have not been on for a while as my son was home from uni for Easter and he hogs the computer. He went back yesterday on his 20th birthday where has the time gone.

My better half has gone to Canada for a week skiing with work. So am now catching up on silly jobs, oh and took my granddaughter to school today her first day at big school she is 5 in may, took me back to my daughter starting 25 years ago had a little tear....:cry:

Here!!! I haven't been on as much because I'm trying to get some things done around here, but like always, not much seems to get done. We're suppose to have some nice weather this week so hopefully later I can get the flower beds cleaned out and get some flowers planted. Today I'm doing laundry.

I've had Karlie quite a bit the last couple of weeks. Damon has been in jail for the last couple of weeks and has a couple more. His problems from December finally caught up with him and he was given 30 days but he's been able to get out on work release and help Glen on the farm so it hasn't been too bad. Karlie was really upset the first week and you could tell that she didn't understand why Daddy wasn't coming home but she's doing better now. I'll be glad when this is all done. It's been hard on everyone.

Poor Karlie, it's so hard on the kids. Glad it's almost over. I'm hoping to start getting some things done tomorrow. I want to start in on the kitchen...so we'll see what tomorrow brings...lol

I have been reading more and posting less.

Plus I got a surprise email from a old friend from my childhood! So we have been busy emailing each other quite abit and getting to know the adult people we have become.

I had a very quiet weekend. Jessie and Steve had his brother and his fiance up, so I didn't get the kids. I was glad - I need a little space. I did get bored though. I kind of set up the deck to be able to sit out. Saturday and Sunday I laid out on my lounge and read a book in the sun! Max and Annie are out there a lot.

I went to NYC yesterday to the dentist. Next time I go I'm going for some gum transplantation surgery I need. That will slow things down for about a month, but he promised I'll be done by summer.

I left in the rain. It rained in the city, and I heard I missed the snow and hail up here! I was just sunbathing two days ago, and then it snowed. It will be nice over the weekend though.

I should go to Yoga today, but it's cold and raining and I'm tired from driving all day yesterday.

I'm listening to Anna Karenina in my car on my GPS. It is wonderful, and makes driving so pleasant.

I started in on the kitchen today just like I wanted to. Only did the top cabinets. Tomorrow I will do the bottom cabinets. Finally, I accomplished something. I'm just going to take my time. I threw out so much stuff just in the top cabinets, can't wait until the bottom ones are done. If I can get rid of more I'll have so much room...yay!!

I told my aunt yesterday that I know I shouldn't complain that I am "stressed out" (though I am) just because I am only stressed because I have so many GOOD things on my plate right now. So many blessings, so little time!

Good morning Marilyn, i'm here, been on my new smoking website lately need the support... been 15 days smoke free.. i joined up the YMCA i'm taking 1/2 today to go work out,, he, he.. i had to run the scale for the last three days so i wasn't on my computer, the guy that runs the scale his mother died from cancer over the weekend, i feel so bad for him, she was young...
well back to work tons of stuff to do in 4 hours, hope everyone has a good one... im out of here soon, going to work out and if its nice i'm taking Micah to the park!!!

Hi ladies, just catching up and reading all the exciting things going on in our lives :eek:

Married life is wonderful, after 10 years, I don't think it is possible to get use to him introducing me as his wife. The time of year helps with the newly wed part of it, kinda romantic with the flowers all in bloom.
Hubbys grandmother is finally well enough that she doesn't require us going over there everyday after her kidney/tumor removal surgery.

So life is pretty much back to normal only slightly better ;)

Glad to read every ones updates, congratulations to Val and Haley :) very soon for you as well Angie!
