pinto beans and ham and we are going over to our daughter's to eat with them. She is fixing cornbread and fried potatoes. This is our favorite family meal! We fix it once every week or two and we always eat together when we do. Sometimes I cook the beans, sometimes my daughter does. Whomever doesn't cook the beans, has to cook the cornbread and potatoes. We always eat at her house though, cause she has more room and the 2 year old has all her toys, etc to keep her occupied.

It is always fun!

Hey I just bought pop tarts at the store!!! LOL!

Kassidy was eating pop tarts a couple of days ago. I was leaving and getting my goodbye kisses. She wanted me to take one of her pop tarts, and I said thank
you but I'm on a diet. She looked at me with those big brown eyes and said "Can't you go off and eat it, or save it until your diet is finished."

I had to take it. She just wanted me to have it! I did not eat it though, and luckily for me, it's now on the floor of my car collecting dirt since it fell out of my bag.

If the car was cleaner, it would have been one of yesterday's snacks for sure.

Gayle, there was a flour-less torte recipe that looked really good in the Guideposts this month and I thought of you. Here's the link for the recipe.
