I'm going to Dallas tomorrow so I can be there Tuesday morning for my DIL's sonogram. They have 2 sons, so we are hoping for a girl!! The baby is due Sept.18th, and about 6 weeks after that they are moving to Scotland to do church mission work...with no plans to come back:eek: We are all very close, and I don't know WHAT I'm going to do without them all.

Anyway....THINK PINK :D

How exciting that you get to be there for the sonogram!!! I was with my son and DIL when they had a sonogram for my first grandchild and we found out that it was TWINS!! We all walked around in a daze after that!! I'll never forget that moment!! BTW--They're 12 now!!

IT'S A GIRL....GIRL GIRL GIRL....We're having a GIRL:cheer::cheer::cheer::2hearts2::2hearts2:

The doctor had to look for a while...he said he THOUGHT it was a girl. I told him to keep looking because I was sure he was wrong:rolleyes: He looked for what seemed like an eternity, and then..TA-DA..She flipped over and showed us what she was!!! The doc told Rachel he would buy her a steak dinner if he was wrong..and he's NEVER had to buy a steak dinner for anybody, lol! So I guess he's confident it's a girl:p

I was SO shocked, it took it a little while to sink in..then I was just CRAZY excited!!!! Except for my 6 year old grandson, Caleb. His friend told him that little sisters were annoying, so he was set on a brother, lol! I convinced him that he would be her HERO, so he was fine:) Michael, my 9 year old grandson, was convinced he would have a sister all along...so he was thrilled!

Thanks for the PINK thoughts everyone! They WORKED;)

That is so great! Buying things for little girls is so much fun :D And she won't have to deal with the hand-me-downs from her big brothers ;)

It DID bring good luck! It would be so cool if they were born on the same day:)

I told my precious DIL today that I was moving to Scotland with them! She told me to come on..that she would LOVE for me to be there, lol! Little did she know that I was serious:p

I know you were serious!!! :p But who would take care of Mike??? :(

I'm so happy she is a girl - I have two granddaughters and they are so much fun. I love all the cute things that I can buy for them! It's not that boys are not great, because they are - but I am really partial to girls and I'm so happy for YOU!!!

I can barely wrap my mind around the fact that this baby is a girl:eek: I have 3 brothers, 2 sons and 2 grandsons. I am very close to my boys, but I always longed for a girl...I guess because I got along so great with my own mother! I bet she's dancing in Heaven right now about this baby girl, lol!

Congratulations!!!!! There is nothing that is more fun than to buy little girl clothes!!! I love all the frills!!! Out of four children, three are girls, and out of 6 grandchildren, 5 are girls so my poor husband, son, and grandson (and 2 SIL's) all have to stick together because they are definitely out numbered!!!!

I'd sure be considering that move option!!!! Especially with my first granddaugher.......ok, even with any new grandchild!!!!! It would be cheaper than traveling over every couple of weeks to deliver gifts!!!! :sidesplit:

I wish I could move, lol! I have a son and dil in Seattle..Mike says we can move to the New York area and just fly one direction and then the other;) Naaa..I like where I live just fine, but I just get sick thinking about living without my grandsons...and now with a little girl coming along..grrrr! I'm worried about my oldest grandson...we're really, really close. Two weeks is his max limit of time to go without seeing me. He'd live with me and just go visit his parents if he could, lol!!

YAHOO!!!

This is wonderful new Betsi!!! I hope she has your blue eyes!

My aunt was very upset when my cousin and his family moved to Belgium. She thought she would not see them enough. It turned out that she and my uncle were able to go over there more often than they ever thought. The best was when they decided to move back to the States, though!
