Little Karlie has problems with asthma and the last couple of days she's been coughing. Dae Lynn brought her out yesterday with her inhaler and explained how to use it. (My children never had problems like this.) She coughed so much and had a fever. I gave her a treatment and it seemed like it didn't help. She took a nap but was coughing the whole time she was sleeping. I was really concerned. I gave her another treatment before it was time to. Glen ran her home since he needed to go to town anyway and Dae Lynn gave her a treatment with a nebulizer but still there didn't seem to be any relief from the coughing. She called me at 10:45 wondering what to do and I had no answers except to call the hospital and see if they had any suggestions or whether she needed to be brought in but they had no suggestions or help. Dae Lynn was up with Karlie all night with just a little bit of sleep. This morning first thing she took her to the doctor and he said that it was a good thing that she had given her treatments through the night or she would have been in really bad shape this morning. He gave her a shot of antibiotics for an ear infection and oral antibiotics, and cough syrup. Please say a prayer for her. It was a really scary episode for Dae Lynn and very worrisome for Glen and I.

Poor Karlie! I hope she gets better soon! My youngest son has asthma, and I spent lots of nights sitting straight up on the floor by his bed so I wouldn't fall asleep. It's very scary!!!

Poor Karlie, it can't be fun for her either. There are so many kids at school that have nebulizers and inhalers and all sorts of stuff. Allergies cause problems too.
I hope the Drs. can get it under control and that there won't be too many scary incidents.
Poor Karlie! I hope she feels better very soon. Dae Lynn must be exhausted too!
Prayers for all of you.

I'm so sorry to hear this. One of our faculty members has been so sick with her asthma, I tried to talk her into letting me take her to the ER last week. She's a little better this week, but not good. Gary's asthma has been acting up this week too - NO FUN!
I hope little Karlie gets better soon - it is really scary little ones!

She's sitting here beside me watching Cinderella. Her coughing seems to be under control but she's taking medicine and having regular breathing treatments. If I have any problems Dae Lynn wants me to call her but so far, so good. Karlie's eyes are dark so you can tell that she's just not herself. Dae Lynn only has to work until 1:00 so she'll be here in just a while to get her. I think the both of them are still tired from being up all night a couple of nights ago.
I asked Damon how often she gets this bad and he told me that she used to do this all the time. I know that Dae Lynn has had her on some medicine that has really helped her a lot. I think that she has allergies that are bothering her too. Poor little girl.
