View Full Version : I'm Gonna' Start Drinking......

Ok.................I really didn't mean that, I think. My day just seems so stressed. I have Karlie who is ALWAYS argumentative, some it is because she's not feeling well. Then I have Jazzi, who pooped AGAIN in the house. It's STILL raining and I'm so tired of it and not having any sunshine. Then I have a friend that's going through a divorce. Her husband is a real jerk and they've had problems ever since we've known them. She's called me 3 or 4 times already today and two of them were over 30 minutes long with her ranting about her husband. It's the same thing that I heard yesterday and the day before that and the day before that and I keep telling her the same thing. I get so tired of it but she was calling Glen and talking to him all the time and I wasn't very happy about that so he's putting a stop to her calling him which means that I have to take up more of the slack.

The good news is that Dae Lynn is only working half a day so she should be here soon. Jazzi's tied up in the kitchen (maybe to the refrigerator......just joking! Did anyone read about the woman who taped her dog to the fridge?) so she can't get to the rest of the house. And at the moment, my phone's not ringing!!! I'm doing good but tell me, if I get stressed some more can a shot of real vanilla be considered drinking? I may have to try that!!! I have a huge bottle of Mexican vanilla!!!! Would you use ice?

Diana you crack me up. I'm no expert on vanilla so I don't know if it will help you out or not.

After all this time with you, you can't get her to quit arguing? She must have a real stubborn streak. I wish I could help you out some.

I would send your friend to your Pastor or her Pastor before she drives you insane.

I'm picking up poop at least once everyday. I hate it!! Some days they all do great...some days one won't. What really upsets me is when they just come in from outside and then one goes poop in the house. ggrrrrr!!!!

"Would you use ice?"

At this point, I would drink it straight from the bottle!

Isn't training a puppy fun?

I clean up poop every morning. They go on their pads, but I still have to clean it up. Max also seems to feel that if he poops within the vicinity of the pad, it's legal.

When I let them out on the deck to go, I still have to clean up poop. If I walked them, I would STILL have to pick up their poop!

Janet, she has a circle of friends that she calls, including the pastor, and they hear the same thing that I do......and give her the same advice. She also has an anger management counselor and a marriage counselor included in the group. When she talks to me she gives little hints that she needs stuff, like a car and other things. There are people who are ready to help her out WHEN she finally gets rid of her husband but she has to make that decision first. It's all such negative stuff that I'm really tired of hearing it. Glen and I are going to Wichita tomorrow and I made Glen promise that if she calls he won't answer her call. I need a break!!

Judy, I may have to just take it straight from the bottle. I checked and I actually have two BIG bottles!!!!

That would definitely get old listening to the same stuff over and over and giving the same advice over and over and her not doing anything about it. I would probably watch what I say, because she is probably telling her husband what everyone thinks of him and what she should do. You could always tell her in a nice way that you've given her all the advice you can and that you have things you need to get done. Keep the conversation very short and maybe she'll call someone else.

I wish her the best, but hinting for material help is not a good thing.

Just don't drink it on an empty stomach....you won't like it.....lol.

Good advice!!! You might also pick up a bottle to tiquela (sp?) while you are in Wichita. A couple of shots of it should do the trick, and you won't have that vanilla aftertaste....;):D.

All us Yorkie momma's can relate to you poop issues. I still find it in the corner of the dining room from Zoe.

Enjoy your trip to Wichita!!!

Do you have caller ID?
Don't blame you for wanting to drink.

Puppy training? Tobie is good about peeing on the pads but will not poop on them, glad I have tile floors.

If I don't answer when she calls she ends up calling my husband. I've tried that. Today when we were in Wichita she tried to call Glen, I had asked him before hand to not answer her calls today because I didn't want to get upset over her problems while we were out having a good time. I don't know what she wanted but I'm sure that I'll find out tomorrow at church.

Hopefully, she will get divorced before you go nuts from her! I think you are doing the right thing, telling Glen not to answer her calls. If you both don't answer the calls, she will find somebody else to complain to.

I feel sorry for people in crisis, but when they use up your patience and your wisdom, you can' help them anymore. She does need to find someone new.

Oh wow, that can be frustrating. I once had a friend who complained about her husband ALL THE TIME and it can be draining. (They are divorced now, thank goodness.) I completely understand how you feel and I think it's a great idea to not answer the phone until you feel up to it again. Good luck!

Some people are just toxic - they suck the life right out of you! I hope you can get some resolution soon. You may just have to have a heart to heart with her and tell you how she is interfering with YOUR well-being.

Diana you crack me up! Silly girl ;)

I understand what you mean, you can only say the same thing over and over in so many different ways, after a while, you get tired of repeating yourself, and than it gets old.
I sure hope she pulls herself together, and starts doing something to help herself.

Good luck girl, i hope she gives you a break!!!!

Jody, had quite the weekend with her husband and I think that she's definitely ready to go through with the divorce. Things kinda' blew up this weekend between my husband and I about this (and many other things) and Jody now knows there's a problems and she has apologized several times. Acually, it was Glen's problem for not telling her that she needed to talk to me and not him, anyway not as often. Jody's very understanding and we're still friends and everything is much, much better.

It wasn't a pleasant weekend at all because of this and some other problems but Glen and I spent a lot of time yesterday together talking and, hopefully, things will be better.

Thanks for asking, Linda. Things are better. We go through spells where I blow up and vent. I really need to just let him know when something bothers me because things would be so much better. My Mom always held things in and I've learned that from her. You'd think that after all these years I would have learned to communicate better!!!
