Okay well spring is here right NOW. But it's just a glimpse of spring. Last week was beautiful! I was wearing skirts and flip-flops and was ready to put all my winter stuff away for good! Then on Friday morning, out of nowhere, I woke up to SNOW! There was about an inch on the ground. It melted in the morning but continued to snow into the afternoon. Then we had a gorgeous weekend! I was wearing sunscreen so I wouldn't get tan lines before wearing my strapless bridesmaid dress next month! Yesterday and today were beautiful too. I'm wearing capris and a sleeveless shirt at work today. It was so warm when I left this morning I didn't even need a jacket. Tonight it's supposed to get below freezing, and there is more snow forecasted for tomorrow
I have never seen weather like this before. Sometimes we get one freak snow storm, but never weather patterns this crazy!

I really feel for you Lindsay! I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to go from clothes for warm weather, then cold weather, then warm!!!
We have been terribly hot and humid down here. I really don't mind heat, but the humidity is awful!!!

I am jealous of your warmth!
It's snowing right now, and the forecast says more snow every second day for the next week, and more snow next weekend.
The only good thing coming out of this is that at least all the mosquitos and other bugs are freezing! Especially spiders! I hate spiders!

The weather does seem weird. I'm sorry that you're still getting snow, Lindsey. I'm sure that you're so ready for warmer weather. We've been getting rain. We've had rain forecasted for almost every day for the last 2-3 weeks and again this week. The farmers are fustrated because they have crops to get planted. We haven't had a lot of rain but it's been enough to keep the ground pretty wet.

We're having a similar pattern, except we're getting rain instead of snow. Last night they warned of a freeze again, so planting is tricky.
You are right about the bugs! I have found a couple of dead flies, the mayflies are scarce, and there haven't been mosquitoes around. It's a good thing!

It snowed yesterday morning, but then warmed up by last night. I was out shopping without a jacket, and it actually got sunny for awhile! But I went to sleep in May and woke up in November  This morning it is a blizzard. It's snowing so hard there's hardly any visibility! Usually we don't have any snow past the middle of March. Three nights ago I was sleeping with the window open and the fan on, and now I'm back to bundling up before going outside!
Oh no Lindsey.. I hate the snow , we are having a cold spring.. it has been raining on and off. I rather have the rain than snow sorry... Better days are coming.... I hope sooner than later.

Send the precipitation down here!!! We'll take it. The snow will turn to rain since it's so warm here. Corpus Christi still has not had any rain. It looks worse every time I go there. All the grass is dead. As I said in another post, the palm trees are even turning brown at the tips of their fronds. It's horrible. Everyone is saying it may take a hurricane to end the drought, and they don't want it to end that way.
The farmers had to plant to be able to collect their crop insurance and all that did is break the surface of the ground so now the fields are dust. The wind is blowing really bad there and has been for months, so the dust is blowing. It's not like the dust storms of West Texas, but it's pretty bad.
Lindsey, sorry that you just can't seem to have consistently warm weather. The cold must be frustrating!!!

Lindsey I can imagine how you're feeling. I've been calling for spring here since December...LOL. We've had a lot of rain too and the farmers are not able to get into the fields. Just when one thinks they may be able to, that the ground is dry enough...it rains again. Was nice yesterday and so far today, but tonight and tomorrow they are calling for bad storms with rain, hail, and damaging winds. I know that sounds bad......but at least it's not snow. Build one last snowman and pray for warmth.

The cold weather is supposed to continue through the weekend. Yesterday afternoon the snow turned to rain. On my way home, the rain turned to hail. Then it wasn't long until it was snowing again. This morning was bright and sunny, but the ground was still covered in snow :( All our nice green grass is now freezing! And I couldn't find the cover for my motorbike in time either, so I hope the snow isn't going to hurt the plastic fairings!
It's funny, my parents have a miniature american eskimo dog. When I was home on the weekend and it was gorgeous outside, my dad said "Sage must know something we don't know, because he hasn't started shedding at all yet" Usually by this time, our whole back yard is filled with balls of white fur. But I was playing with him and hugging him and didn't even get a hair on me! Now I know why
Right now it is 3 degrees C... That's 37 degrees F.
I'm sorry it's so dry down there Marilyn! I guess in a way we did need the snow... although I'd rather it be rain! Last weekend we took a drive out to our cabin and noticed large FIRE BAN signs everywhere, so I guess it was pretty dry out there too. It's unusual to have fire bans this early in the year.

You're just getting everything all at once, Lindsey. Snow, hail, and rain. We've got another storm coming our way again. It's just a county away and is suppose to be bad so I'm keeping an eye on the weather. My husband's ready to get in the field but like all the other farmers, it's just too wet to plant. Next week there's not a chance of rain so hopefully things will get dried out enough to get in the fields.
Marilyn, I'd be more than glad to send rain down to Corpus Christi, if I could just figure out how. Actually, our rain goes down the Mississippi eventually. They just need to run a big irrigation ditch over to CC!!!

As my grandma said last week, "Only in Saskatchewan can you have all four seasons in one day!"
On Sunday it was beautiful! I got a tan sitting outside in the morning, while my dad and brother and his girlfriend got sunburns! We decided to go out to the lake, and as soon as we got there it started raining lightly. But it wasn't long before it was sunny again, just a little cooler. When we got back into town, the clouds were back and it just started pouring! That soon turned into hail. Then just after midnight, it started snowing!

That is so cool! I know you don't like it and are wishing for spring already, but that is just amazing.
