What have you all been doing over the Memorial Day weekend? Picnics, cookouts?

We haven't really done a whole lot. Mostly getting things caught up around here before next weekend when Ricky graduates. The boys did go to the woods around the corner to campout, but they were home at 6 o'clock this morning...they couldn't sleep. Not sure what their problem was, but I heard something about coyotes. They have really been on the prowl lately and so loud.

They both came home and are now in bed.

Today there is an auction around the corner. I may go and see what they have, but I really don't need anything. This lady traveled alot and collected quite a few things so it may be interesting just to go and see what's there.

I also need to give the adult dogs a grooming.....not sure if I will today or wait a few days.

Only 3 more days left of school. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and then Ricky graduates on Saturday. My baby has grown up....where did the time go!!:)

We're going crabbing today!!! Taking a small grill and having jalepeno poppers (Melissa made them) and burgers. Hope we catch some crabs to cook for supper!!! We just have to get out of the house and do something. We all worked together Saturday and cleaned all day. Yesterday we shopped for our outing today. Enjoying the 3 day weekend with our kids.

Janet, they grow up quickly, but it's nice having adult children. Once you adjust, it just keeps getting better. Congratulations on raising such a fine young man!!

I'm so jealous of you all while I'm sitting at work today :p But I did have a long weekend LAST weekend so I guess it all works out :)
I did go to Edmonton on Saturday though, for my friend's bachelorette party. One bridesmaid was going to go with me but backed out the day before, so the bill was all on me for the gas (6 hours there and 6 hours back) and the hotel room that me and the bride-to-be shared. We went shopping in West Edmonton Mall (largest mall in North America) and I spent too much money lol. Then we went out to a club for a few hours, and then went back to our room to watch tv until falling asleep :) It was a really fun weekend besides all the driving!
I hope you all enjoy your holiday!

With my husband being a farmer Memorial Day is just another day to work. We have some rain coming in so I don't know exactly what he's going to do today. We don't usually plan anything with family on this day. Sounds boring, huh? But we do get off rainy days, winter days, and there's a time in Aug/Sept that's slow so it's really not so bad. Sunday is the only day that we take off for rest. Farming is a different way of life!

Yesterday Glen and I went and dug up some rocks that I had in a flower bed at our old house and brought them all up here so I can use them to make a new flower bed. It's possible that we may go ahead and start on that. It's not something I can do myself because the rocks are too heavy for me to be lugging around. I've got to get it done though because I've already bought plants to go in it and they need to get planted soon.

I hope that all of you have a great day!!!

I went to two bbqs yesterday and today. The weather was beautiful, and I didn't have to cook.. Enjoyed with family and friends. Just hung around and relaxed.. A perfect weekend...

Janet it is so wonderful watching your child go from one level to the next in their education. Rick is a great son with two wonderful parents. Is he going away to college? They grow so fast enjoy each accomplishment..

Enjoy your summer vacation the count down begins... lol

Rick is going on to Lincoln College of Technology and will be studying all about diesel and hydrolics. Not our first choice for him, but it's best to find something you're really interested in and go for it.

Glen plowed one of his fields last fall and with the rain some things have showed up. We have a lot of big bones and we're wondering if they were buffalo bones and there's lots of rocks that look like they were part of a fire ring. I've gone out for the last few days and looked for arrowheads and found some beauties!!! That's what I ended up doing yesterday because the weather was just beautiful and Glen's ready to start working the ground. I'll get some pictures posted soon.

Not good Judy, back to the doctors today, he's a big snot ball.. I don't think his clairton is working anymore, he's been on it for a year, his allergies are really bad! I think there going to have to switch his medicine. and he's still pulling on his ears so were going to get those checked out also.. See if there going to decide to put tubes in or not?
