The morning from hell !!!

Sadie usually sleeps in my bed , but since she is pregnant she has been getting down in the middle of the night, well she can get down but she can't get back up. This morning about 4:30 she decided she wanted back in bed.... so i roll over and step out of bed to pick her up, my bed is to high to just reach down and get her.....OMG i have never had such back pain in my life, i couldn't move...lay back down or straighten up ....nothing, i felt 3 pops in my back as i tried to get up, my left butt check down my leg had been bothering all week and it just gave out this morning. I yelled at hubby to wake up and we got me layed back down on the bed, finally after laying there for awhile it took me a couple of times but i managed to get up and walk to the kitchen....but OMG did it hurt. By this time the dog's were up and they needed to pee.....OMG it was pouring rain outside....a couple of them don't mind the rain and went out anyways and when they came back in they were drenched....the others that wouldn't go out tried to use the potty pads and a couple of them missed the pad so i had to clean the floor up from the drenched dogs plus the pee where they missed the pad.....OMG my back!!!!
I had to go to work because i have missed days from my daughter and mom plus i had a care plan meeting for mom this afternoon that i really needed to go to to talk with them about a few things, i worked till lunch and then went to an urgent care place, they said i had blood in my urine and it was either a syotic (sp) nerve or i passed a kidney stone, i say the syotic nerve, they gave me scripts, 2 for pain, 1 antibiotic and a steroid pack. I sure wish the pain meds would kick in, i didn't fill the hydrocodon (sp) but right at this moment i kind of wish i had. Oh yeah and hubby had some broken blood vessels in his eye so he look's about the way i feel right now LOL!! It's got to be a better day tomorrow, please pray that it is...Thanks Lynne

Wow Lynne, you sure did have one bad day.. I hope that your feeling better tonight with the help of the meds.. I pray tomorrow is a much better day. While I am praying I hope this rainy dismal days go away, you mentioned that its pouring there too. It has been raining almost a month here..

Oh Lynne, I wish I had known, I would have come and helped you. I remember when I had that nerve thing going on and was in so much pain....remember? It was horrible, couldn't hardly get up or down and hurt just to turn over or change positions in bed. I hope you feel better tomorrow. Next time...call and let me help you.

Lynn, I'm so sorry that you're in pain. I hope that it goes away soon. I think that you should go and get the other prescription filled, even if you just get a 3 or 4 pills to get you by. I'll be praying that you get well. Hugs.

What a day you both had Lynne! I hope today is better. You should fill the pain killer prescription, just in case. I took 1/2 of a pill when I had gum surgery, and it worked.

Thanks everyone for your prayers, they have helped, my back is still bothering me but not as bad. One of the meds i am takeing is makeing me sick to my stomach though, pretty sure it is the steroid, i am not a big eater especially for lunch at work and after i took 1 pill today i was sick the rest of the day, i ate more for supper and took my pill but still feel kind of yucky, i have a whole weeks worth of these pills but don't know if i can stand feeling like this. :(

I couldn't have been there by 5:30 ya know!! And I am an early riser...most of the time. Don't do any more than you have to until you start feeling better. I'd stick with the pain pills and throw out those steroids....but that's me. I'll check on you in a little bit.:)

well things have not gotten any better, just can't get any relief from the pain. Yesterday went to the ER they did a cat scan and gave me pain meds & steriod by IV, said i have 2 stones but not the cause of my pain. This morning i woke up around 3:30 am and could not sit or stand from the pain, i went back to bed and dozed for a couple of more hours and still no relief. Went to hubby's DR and he sent me for an MRI, I have a herniated disc, got a shot of steroid in my back and still have some pain but nothing like before. I go the 23rd to talk with a neuro suergon to see if he want to continue with more shot's or go straight to surgery. I am so hopeing the shot's work i really do not want to have surgery but do not want to have to deal with this pain in the future either.

Hey Gail: If i have to have surgery i have visions of them putting me in a room with mom, now that would be pay back wouldn't it LOL

I am so sorry that you are in so much pain. Hopefully, the shots will work and surgery won't be necessary.

Oh Lynne! I cannot believe you are having such pain and have this diagnosis!!! I'm so sorry! i sure hope the shots work - you do not want surgery if you can help it! Keep us posted.
