Hi everyone!
I just wanted to take a minute or two or three to introduce myself properly. I did the sticky quiz but that really doesn't tell alot about me.
My name is Alycia and I am a 27 year old married mother of four skin kids. My kids are 7, 5, 3, and 17 months. My daughter is the oldest and the younger three are boys. My youngest we were told they were pretty sure he was girl LOL oh well so he came out with extra parts! My kids are all sweeties!
I have been a SAHM for three years but my husband got a back injury last year and his doctor won't release him to work. He is seeing a neurologist and in the meantime I have started working for a telemarketing company *gasp*. We only do business to business calls and we call for charities like the March of Dimes and Cancer research. So no sales calls from me! *whew*
We live on 8 acres in Southeast Ohio. I am about 30 minutes from W. Va and 45 minutes from Pittsbugh, Pa. I feel like it is a good place (althought I have some of the most wacked out neighbors!) because we are right smack in the middle of everywhere we go. All the bigger towns, cities we shop at are about 45 minutes away and the same distance.
We are working on fencing some of our property for pasture. We want to get a couple head of beef to raise and butcher for our freezer. I had a great garden this year, and I hope to learn how to do some canning so next year I can can my veggies!
I have one pure bred Yorkie named Autumn and the end of October I will be getting my first AKC yorkie (I am so freaking excited!!!!) and we named her Madison. I also have two pups from Autumn's first litter, Max and Gizmo, who are nine months old but they are Yorktese/Morkies. Autumn has one 6 week old pup who is going to live with a very nice couple in Conneticut and they have named his Chewy. They plan to pick him up next month.
I also have a Blue Heeler who is 5 years old named Earnhardt and we have a shephard/lab mix named Sasha. Now with risking getting people mad, the bigger dogs run outside. They have kennels for at night, but I don't believe in leaving them in the kennels day and night so since we have 2 fenced in acres, they have free run all day. Earnhardt does get kennelled on occassion when we have company because he has been known to bite strangers or people that don't live here. He has bit 4 people and all four times it was when THEY went into HIS kennel space and we had already warned them he could bite. I would have all my dogs in the house but the hubby won't allow anything but my yorkies in the house. He said the house isn't big enough for the larger dogs.
We also have a hamster named Sage. A calico cat named Cassie and a Siamese cat named Mama who my friend gave to me and unfortunately she came to us preggers so now we have 5 six week old kittens running around out side too. Makes me glad we have such a big space!!! My mom has asked to take one of the kittens home with her next month and I was like, take two!! LOL (not a big cat person, no offense to cat lovers!)
Last week I took in three puppies that were in a bad situation. I have no clue what they are! They look like little red heelers LOLOL they have red buckshot all over their fur. They are so pretty! We named them Amber, Gidget, and Dotti. My husband said I can only keep one, but I think I have him talked into keeping two. But as long as I don't say anything or remind him that I am not allowed to keep them all, he doesn't complain. So far, they are being really good! I wasn't supposed to bring them home, especially since I am getting Madison, but after I seen the conditions the woman was keeping them in I couldn't in good conscience leave them. We have wormed them and they go to the vet next week. I spose if he demands it I will have to work on finding them good homes. The woman who originally had them said she didn't even know her dog was pregnant. They were in a dirty pen and the mom (who was also chained to a box INSIDE the pen!) was so skinny you could see her spine and hips!! I was so angry! I am not opposed to outdoor dogs, but they deserve the same care as an inside dog and they deserve a clean place to live!!!
and I guess since this has already become a lenghty post I should shut up now.
