I just had my first free weekend in months! I think I've been booked up every weekend since April. It was so nice to not feel stressed out!
On Friday night, Scott and I went to see Transformers 2. We had to get there almost 2 hours early to get in line! But we got great seats and I didn't think the movie was as bad as the reviews say! We got home and hung out in bed with Layla and then went to sleep :)
On Saturday morning we got up and started cleaning the basement with my roommate. We have one corner down there where we save all of our bottles and cans for recycling, and it has been building up for 2 years! So we took it all out into the yard and sorted and squished everything and took it all in for recycling. We came out with over $100 that will be put towards bills for this month! Then we went out for food, and went home for naps :)
Scott and I woke up and got ready to go out to an evening performance of Fiddler on the Roof at our local theatre on the riverbank. I'd never been in it before! The show was really great, and one of Scott's friends played a part and he was really good too!
When it was over we headed home to change clothes and make an appearance at my friend Dan's summer kickoff party! I felt a little out of place because it was a very young party and everyone was pretty far gone by the time we got there. Scott and I stayed around for one beer, and then said goodbye to Dan (we didn't know anyone else there!). We ran home to pick up Layla and an overnight bag and drove to Scott's house for a sleepover! It was super late but we picked up some delicious teriaki boneless ribs and then cooked some fries and had a little feast while watching Bolt! It was a cute movie :)
Yesterday was super lazy! At around noon we finally got up and got bowls of cereal and ate outside on the steps while Layla explored Scott's back yard! We brought her home and then went window shopping for the afternoon. I found some really cute things I'd like to decorate my new condo with!
Then we went to Scott's house to eat and we watched a couple episodes of the Tudors. Finally we got back to my house and did a few hours of crosswords before falling asleep.
It felt like the perfect weekend!

Oh and since my wonderful boyfriend is still on banked time from work, I gave him the task of uploading pictures from Vegas a few weeks ago and the wedding last weekend onto my photobucket account, so I will have pictures to show you all later today!

Girl, you do more on a "free" weekend than I do all month! Glad you got a break.

Lol! Well at least I was just doing relaxing stuff (minus the bottles!) and I got to stay around the city. In the past few months I've done 3 trips that were 6 hours long each way, plus countless trips back home which is just over 2 hours away... it was nice to not have to drive or be on a schedule :)

I'm glad you had a relaxing weekend kiddo! It's nice to spend a couple of days doing exactly as you please...and having someone nice to do it with doesn't hurt either;)
