Yesterday Glen needed me to run all over everywhere for him but before I left Reuger got sick and had diarrhea. Jaci was home for a while and kept an eye on him and she put him in his kennel when she left for work in case he had problems again. By the time I got home he was also running a fever and didn't want to do much of anything. I thought about running him into the vet but decided to wait because I'm friends with the vet and I know that I can call him anytime. I finally gave Reuger 1/2 of a children's aspirin and just sat and held him. In a little while his fever went down and a little later he ate some canned food that I diluted with water.
This morning he seems like he's back to his old self. I sure wish that he wouldn't give me scares like that and I hope that it isn't contagious. Jazzi's so small that she'll be a bigger worry.
Anyway, I have a big sigh of relief today!!!!!!

I'm so glad Reuger is feeling better! I always get so worried when Layla has bouts of vomiting or diarrhea too! Luckily I don't have another dog to worry about catching it though!

I'm glad he's better, too. What do you think it was?

I'm so glad it wasn't anything serious Diana. Poor Rueger! Hopefully whatever it was....Jazzy won't get it.

I don't know what it was. I would guess some kind of doggy flu or something. He's not one to eat strange things so I don't think that it was anything he ate. Jazzi on the other hand tries to eat everything!!! I'm always getting onto her for eating stuff in the yard!!!!

So glad he's better and without a vet visit. I may have to try something like that with ours next time. We run them to the vet every time and end up spending over a hundred dollars per visit. It's awful that they charge so much just to look at them and prescribe some inexpensive antibiotic.
Poor little Reuger! I'm so glad he is better.
We need pictures, Diana! Jazzi is growing up ya know;)
