........Jazzi has surgery. We're having her spayed, for one, because we don't want to deal with puppies, and for two, she's too little at 3 1/2 lbs. So in a little bit I have to pick up her water and food so she can't eat. I have to run her in to the vet's office in the morning. I thought that it would be too scary for her to stay overnight. I hope everything goes all right. I'm worried because she is so tiny.

I'm sure your vet knows what he or she is doing. I hope all goes well for her too.
Let us know how she does.:dog:

Diana, I was so afraid, too when my Zoe, 3.6 lbs, was spayed. She did great. Came through it with no problems at all. We had the newest vet at the clinic do the surgery because she knew how to do internal stitches, so we did not have to deal with exposed stitches and having them removed. She healed very quickly.
I'm sure that Jazzi will be fine, but know how you are concerned. These little ones crawl right into your heart. Don't know what we would do without them.
Will be praying for you and her.

Jazzie will be okay Diana. She's small, but if you have a good vet...everything should be just fine. I'll keep her in my prayers. Let us know as soon as you hear anything.

I just called and Jazzi's awake and has her head up. She was checked for a hernia that was seen when I first got her but they didn't find any sign of it and she had a tooth pulled besides being spayed. They're going to send home some pain meds for the next couple of days since she went through so much. Allison said that I can go and pick her up about 2:30 or 3:00. My poor baby.
Poor little Jazzi! I know you are going to be spoiling her this weekend! I hope she has no need for the pain killers.

Jazzi's doing pretty good. You can tell that she's really sore and she wants to be held a lot. I'll be happy when this is completely healed up.

Did the Vet give her any pain meds? Poor little thing. I hope she's not too sore. Hopefully just a couple of days and she'll be back to normal.
You'll just have to forget housework and just hold and love on her.

She's running around some but still sleeping a lot. She'll start running and then stop and check herself, like something is poking her but I know that it's the soreness. She's doing a lot better than I figured that she would.
The vet's office gave me, I think, some pain meds and it also has something in it for infection. I gave her a good sized dose last night and have two smaller ones for tonight and tomorrow night.
She's not suppose to jump.......yah, right!!!! She's already jumped off of the couch!!! A good thing is that she's not allowed to jump onto the couch so she won't be jumping up. The little stinker!!!
And I don't know what she'll do when Glen opens the cheese drawer in the fridge........she usually makes a huge flying leap to run into the kitchen, her AND Reuger!!! It's because he gives them little bites!! They can tell the sound of the cheese drawer opening!!!! I'll have to try and stop her......

I didn't catch her in time and she made her flying leap again but it didn't seem to bother her!!!
They both just stand there and wait and even follow him to his chair for him to give them a bite of cheese. Glen's a softie and can't tell them no. He's really not suppose to give them any but it's just a small bite. It's really cute how they can tell that he's opened the cheese drawer!!!

Diana I have a cheese drawer in my fridge too.. Funny, Gucci comes flying when I am in fridge looking for a snack.. lol Glad to hear that she came through with flying colors. I had Gucci spayed at a young age and she was tiny then too. No problems either. It is hard to keep them idle for awhile.. Good luck trying.. lol

So glad to here that Jazzi is doing so well!!! She'll be back to normal in no time!!! and you have an excuse to sit and hold her for a while. ;)
Zoe scared me to death Saturday. She's afraid to jump off most things. She just recently started jumping off the couch. She's too small to jump up on it. Well with Melissa's bulldog around, when I'm in the kitchen, she sits on a tall barstool to keep away from the bulldog. She had one of her toys with her and it fell off the stool at the sametime Mack came into the kitchen. She jumped off the stool to get to her toy. I was so upset that I'd let her have to toy on the stool and had'nt anticipated something like this happening. She is fine, thankfully, what a scare though.
Keep us posted on Jazzi's recovery!!!

Marilyn, I'm sure that it scared you when Zoe jumped off of the chair. Jazzi is a jumper. She will jump right out of your arms if you're not careful. I have to keep a close eye on her whenever she's on anything and she's scared me a few times. Her little bones are so tiny that it worries me that she could break one. Jazzi certainly keeps me on my toes!!! She's very feisty!!!
Jazzi????? Hmmmm...let me think! I have not seen a picture of a dog named Jazzi!
I wonder who she is, and what she looks like:confused:
