Glen called and invited Karlie and me to join him in town at the local diner so we ran in to eat a hamburger with him. While we were there Karlie got bored and invented a little tiny pretend dog. She played with it with Glen opening and closing the cage door for the little dog. Eventually, she pronounced that it was a little prairie dog, but I don't think she knows what that is exactly, it's just a name to her for a dog.

Karlie carried the little dog out of the diner and still had it in the car so I buckled it in for her. She fell asleep on the way home but when I got ready to carry her in she wanted to know if the prairie dog could sleep with her. I told her that would be alright but, I was WRONG!! Karlie and the prairie dog sat in there and played and played. I don't know how many times I told her to lay down and go to sleep. Finally, I went in and grabbed up the prairie dog and brought him into the living room..........and, voila, she's finally asleep!!!!

That is so cute Diana! I am so glad you have Karlie to nurture.

My parents went all the way back home when I was 4 to get my imaginary giraffe. I had several animals, and they came with me everywhere.

Oh my gosh, SO adorable.

When I was little, I had a little dragon that lived in our hall closet. He fit in my hand haha!

Diana, that is precious!
What we wouldn't give to have imaginations like that again...

I imagine this will be a memory she will want you to recall for her again and again as she gets older.
