My husbands aunt got a pair of ducklings. She is going to the beach and we are going to take care of them for her. They are about 7 weeks old.

Does anyone have any experience with ducks?

They are awfully adorable. They don't mind being handled, they follow you around and snuggle up to you :)
One is all brown and the other is yellow with faint dark markings above the eyes.
I will post pictures after they come home with us tomorrow evening :p

I don't have any experience either since I'm so afraid of foul of any kind. Always have been.

We had ducks when I was a little girl. I remember mother and me walking them to the ditch near our home so they could go swimming. They were sooooo cute. They walked in a line behind their momma. But no recent experience to help you.

We've had ducks!!! With them being so little they would probably enjoy playing in the bathtub! They love the water!!!

In the bathtub????? How about a kiddie pool...LOL.

You just put them in and close the shower curtain!! They'll splash and play and quack!!! They'll love it!!!

Ducks have little sharp things on their toes and if you put them in a blow up pool they'll poke hole all over it!!......................Been there, done that!!!

Thanks for the responses ladies! Sorry, I've been kept on my toes by these two little ones in addition to the husband, the three dogs, the cat, the sugar glider... and yes even my nephew and niece over night!
*recites "There Was An Old Woman Who Lived In A Shoe"*

I've kept them in the spare room in the medium sized kennel on top of the large kennel I have set up in there for the dogs. Right in front of the window with it open so they can hear the sounds and smell the air. (the relentless, humid air bleh lol)
I change their kennel about 3 times a day between the poo, the pee and the messy meals lol Take it apart, take it right outside and hose it. It air dries in no time. They have a bath every morning. Dipping and diving. Happily doing duck things. Then I scrub the tub out with antibacterial dish soap.

They are patiently peeping while pacing around 7am at the kennel door once I check in on them. I also change it up and bring them into the tiled bathroom floor (easy clean up) and let em stretch those growing bones a couple of times a day.
They get feed in their bowl mornings and early evenings. Water is changed often since they drink so much and need it to help they swallow down their food it gets nasty, they love their water.
Sadie, my miniature schnauzer, adopted them as her own lol

Here are a few pictures and video for those who want to see these babies

The little ducklings are so cute!! They are messy with their food, water, and poo! But they're so soft to hold! It doesn't look like yours have started getting any feathers so that makes them even more soft. I knew that they would enjoy the "bath"!! They're so cute swimming around!!

Tell me about the sugar glider. We've been thinking of getting one (or my granddaughters are) and we're interested in their care. Are they very messy? What's your opinion of them?
