Ha! Ha! I'm the one with the football games on while MY husband is wondering what is the big deal! Actually, he likes to watch the University of Texas and the University of Oklahoma when they play football. Those are his teams, and he watches the Dallas Cowboys, but that's about all.
Basketball is really my favorite sport. I have season tickets to all the Texas women's basketball games and I just love women's basketball in person or on TV. He doesn't care for basketball, men's or women's. I'm a MUCH bigger sports fan than he is.
I just can't watch hockey on TV, but I like it in person. We have a AA or AAA team for the Dallas Stars and I have gone to lots of their games and I really like it in person, but don't care for watching it on TV.
Now, Gary (hubby) will watch golf all day and I just can't watch that for very long. I will watch Tiger Woods if he is in contention, but I have to get up and do something else when he is not hitting!

I know you get excited when the sports come on Gayle. Me.....I'm just not a big sports nut. I do like watchig girls high school volleyball...but other than that...not so much. I use to love watching the Indiana Pacers when all the good guys were on the team...Reggie Miller, Mark Jackson,..etc. But not now.

Gayle, we all know that you're a big sports fan!!! I think that it's cool that you go to the games and get so excited. My husband and I just aren't into sports that much except for Jaci's volleyball games and probably our granddaughter's games.
Also, welcome to our forum, love Pink!!! We have some really great women on here!!!

OK Betsi, I knew our "twin thing" had to end somewhere! LOL!!! You are too much of a girly girl - to like sports very much. I'm a tomboy, so sports are right up my alley!!! :D

Gayle, Garrett and Melissa headed for Buda this weekend and are going to the Texas game. They said the only way we can watch it here is on pay per view, and it costs around $40.00. We haven't checked into it, but Garrett's parents have season tickets, so they are going to the game.
I love going to football and basketball games. Never get to go much though. Hubby likes professional football, but we never go to the games any more. Before we had kids, we'd drive all the way to Dallas, buy tickets from scalpers and watch them play. Especially during playoffs.
I like to go to the Spurs games, but tickets are soooo expensive.

Ok Gayle! I guess I AM a girly girl to some extent. I think I overcompensated because I have 3 brothers, 2 sons, 2 grandsons...but now finally a granddaughter:eek:
I was SUCH a tomboy growing up! I still like to go sit in a deer stand, but just to enjoy the woods, even though I do take a gun:rolleyes: I have been to SO many sporting events, if I never went to another one it wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit:D Oh, and I could go barefooted the rest of my life:p

I understand about your attending sooooo many sporting events. It's a way of life in Texas, isn't it!
