On the view a few minutes ago they were talking about the actor who was driving drunk and the said something bad on tv and then he blamed it on being drunk. He was saying that sometimes when your drunk you blurt out things that you don't actually mean. Well a lady that had interviewed said that she thought that when people get drunk then they get honest and you end up saying things that you mean but things you would never say if your wern't drunk.

OK.... So, how does alcohol effect you???? Does it make you honest or does it just make you blurt out things that you don't mean?

For me, alcohol makes me honest. I will blurt out things. Alot of times it's things that I would never say but they are things that I mean. Me and hubby got into an argument when I was drunk a few months ago and I said some stuff that I would never say. I guess it's good that he doesn't know I get honest when I'm drunk b/c I was able to blame it on the alcohol.

It's been quite some time since I "tied one on", but I sure does make me talk even more than I do already. Probably makes me say things I mean, but would think twice about saying them if I was sober....:D

I'm not the "drinker" I used to be - several years back, I could really "tie one on" and would be somewhat honest. Now all it does when I have a couple is just make me relaxed and I want to go to bed! But alcohol affects people in different ways - some become honest, some "exaggerate", some do things they would NEVER consider if they were sober, and in some, it makes them down right mean!

I don't drink any more but when I did. I would say how I felt. I can't do that when I'm not under the influence. I don't like to hurt peoples feelings cause I don't like it when people hurt mine. BUT that's me. I let people walk all over me

Alcohol definately makes me SOOOOOO chatty. I think everyone and their mother is my friend when I am drunk. I don't know if it makes me "honest," but I think it definately makes me "exaggerate" alot.

I pretty much let it all hang out all the time, but I did find that when I drank everything got magnified. When I first started drinking I was going through a very bad breakup & I had never been taught the proper way to deal with emotion so I would get drunk & bawl. I also like to sit around & sing when I get really drunk. Also I like for everyone to get along when I'm drunk, I'm happy & feeling good so everyone else should do the same.

It makes me a good dancer too :D Usually I'm really happy, and I compliment everyone! Buttttt if I'm in a bad situation I'm overly emotional. I was completely hammered one night while i went to see the guy i was seeing in his hometown, and I turned around to see him making out with another girl. I FREAKED! I think I cried until I was sober in the morning!

One night when I was wasted, I accused my now husband (he was just my boyfriend then) of flirting with my friend. I started bawling crying and acting retarded. Of course, 5 minutes later my head was in the toilet, my boyfriend (now hubby) was holding my hair back wondering what in the world made my so upset. Who knows!!!!!!! :p :p :p

Ok, you're probably not gonna believe this....but I've never had a drink; not once. I'm 22 and I've never tried alcohol :o No one in my family drinks, so I was never exposed to it.....to make it stranger, my hubby doesn't drink either....and he never has :o :o Most of my friends can't believe it....but I dunno....I just haven't :o

WOW, yea, that's all I can say is WOW!!!!!

J/K....I think that's really good that you've never really been exposed to alcohol. I mean even if I wasn't exposed through family then I still had it at every party I attended from 15 and up. Your not missing out on much. Acting a fool and like others said it's makes you think, do and say alot of things that you normally wouldn't do.

I think that's wonderful. You're not missing anything at all. I only like a beer now and then and only when we go out to eat. But I wouldn't miss it if I never had it again. Too much just makes you look like a drunk...and that's never attractive.:)

Thank you guys for not making me feel totally stupid....my friends are ALWAYS trying to get my to drink, but I don't want to do it just because THEY want me to....in fact, a close friend died because he was hit by a drunk driver, so I never ever want to touch the stuff. Thanks for not making me feel dumb :)
