Total Money Makeover?

Just curious....I drive a lot across open country and listen to talk radio some to make the trip more interesting. Dave Ramsey is on several stations in this area. We, my hubby and I, have been fairly financially conservative, but there is always something else we can learn. Has anyone attended a Dave Ramsey Total Money Makeover Live Event or his Financial Peace University. Some of us have been discussing offering the Financial Peace University in our area. There are some really nice folks around here who could really use some help getting their finances in order.

If you've attended and have comments, positive or negative, we'd really appreciate hearing them.

Wish I could help Marilyn, but I have never heard of him. I sometimes think we could use some help in that area, although I know I'm not alone. Wish they offered something like that here, it sounds like it would be well worth it. :)

Janet, I'm not advertising this guy at all, have no connection with him other than being a fairly frequent listener. His website is www.daveramsey.com & he an author and nationally syndicated radio talk show host out of Tennessee. His show is broadcast on over 300 radio stations including satellite, nationwide. I think it's live from 1pm to 4pm CST Mon-Fri. His website will say where you can tune in to hear him. He has a very blunt, common sense approach for becoming debt free. Don't agree with everything he says, but he gives a lot of good advice to most callers.

If you can find a station in your area, it would be worth tuning in and seeing what you think. I believe you can hear him on-line as well. He was in real estate of some kind and went bankrupt when he was around 28. He shares his ideas from the perspective of someone who has made a lot of financial mistakes of his own & worked his way out.
