View Full Version : Been Really Tired!

Ladies....I've been so tired lately. I could take a nap everyday. All growing up and up until about 4 months ago...I never slept past 6:00 or 6:30 AM at the latest. Actually, most of the time I was always up between 5 and 5:30 AM.
Get this....on the weekends....I have been sleeping until 8:00 AM. I can't believe it. I have never slept that late in my entire life.
Not sure what's going on with me unless it's stress related. Of course there's been Mom. She's doing so much better, but now she has come to expect me to call every morning when I get home. I was calling her to make sure she was sleeping good and that the machine's alarms weren't going off. Well, things are going a bit better, but she still expects the call. If I don't....then she calls me wondering why I haven't called.
Then there was the rental house. Finally it is rented to a lovely young couple expecting their first child. They put down a non-refundable deposit and will be moving in the last week of this month. That was a huge worry for us, but again, as usual God provided. I don't know why we bother to worry, things have always worked out one way or another.
Now my best friend...the one I've written about before is in the hospital again. Linda's been in for two weeks and will most likely be transferred to an Indianapolis hospital. She has gallstones that are causing her terrible pain so it needs to come out. It's a risky surgery for her in her condition. I'm so worried. We'll find out within the next day or so if she'll be transferred.
So...for the most part the above is why I haven't post much at length. I come check things out, post a few replies and then head to FB to play those Mindjolt games. They get my mind off things.
I'm glad the weekend is coming up. I've gotten so I just love love love the weekends...especially since fall has arrived.

It could be stress related, but have you had your blood sugar tested? If it's too high it can make you sleepy. Have you noticed that you've been drinking a lot more? Just a suggestion.
I've noticed that you haven't been on much but I figured with driving the bus and your Mom you were just busy. I hope things slow down for you a little. I'm glad to hear that your Mom is doing good. Enjoy your phone call with her each morning one of these days you'll miss that.

I think you should add Ricky's driving distance and car problems to the bucket. I've missed you being around, but was pretty sure it was from the stresses. My bet is that you're sleeping more from depression.
You know we're all here, if you need us. Love you!

You know.....with all this going on....I really don't feel THAT stressed. I just couldn't think of any other reason to be so sleepy...lol. I suppose I really should make an appointment, but I just hate going to the Dr.....there are so many sick people in there and I don't want to catch anything....does that make sense??? LOL
I would hope the Prozac would help the depression....I don't feel depressed either. I'm still laughing at the slightest thing....I laugh at anything...LOL. I just want a trip to Kansas so bad I can't stand it that would be the best medicine. Then I would need to swing through Texas....wow...no wonder I'm so down...I don't get to go anywhere....ha ha ha

Oh Janet I sure hope you feel better soon! I sleep way too much, like you, I don't feel depressed but something is not right. Maybe it's something subconsious that's on your mind. Yes, if you went to Kansas, you would feel alot better after visiting with Diana. I think it's so cool that you two have actually met!! Has anybody else met in person on here? Glad your mama is doing better.:)

Janet, I think it really is worry - even subconscious worry. That said, it wouldn't hurt to have a good checkup, since fatigue can be a sign of many "not so good" things.
Also, I discovered a year or so ago, that too much refined carbs (white sugar, bread, pasta) made me tired and when I cut back, I felt better.

I think Gayle is right about the worry. Sometimes we hide things from ourselves. I'm sure you've had an instance when you burst into tears when you didn't even realize you were upset. You may be doing that. Hiding your stress and worry from yourself. Hope things settle down soon!!
If you come to Texas, plan to spend some time. There are several of us here!!!

........I think it's so cool that you two have actually met!! Has anybody else met in person on here? ........
I have met several. I've met Sheryl (user name Rivermom). She's not on here much any more. She lives pretty close to some of my relatives so we met for supper one evening.
We also planned a 4WT meet-up in Chicago last spring and I met Kat and Angie. Kat was with us only briefly but my daughter, Dae Lynn and I had a great time touring Chicago with Angie!! And after that I drove back in the fall and visited Janet. We had such a wonderful visit and I'm looking forward to being with her again!! She's either going to have to come here OR I'm going back there!!!!!
I would love to go to Texas and meet all the girls there. I was thinking that sometime this summer or fall that I'd get that done but things just haven't worked out to where I can do it.
We're planning a cruise for 4WT members in 2011 so you need to be saving your money for that!! We haven't made all the plans yet but we talked about it right before you joined. I'm excited about it!!!
If you're ever my way I'd love to have you come and visit!! There's not much to see here but it is relaxing!!

Oh Diana, I know it must have been so much fun meeting some of the girls! I was wandering just the other day if you all had meet-ups on here? I'd love to come to one. A cruise? Sounds exciting! And thank you so much for the invite to visit, I've never been to Kansas. If you're ever in Ky, you and the other girls are so welcome to come visit me:)

I came close! I went all the way to NYC last year but it was during American Thanksgiving. I was hoping to be able to meet Judy and Gina but it just didn't work out with their schedules at that busy time of year. I would love to meet everyone though! If anyone ever wants a Canadian experience, my door is always open! :D

I think I was living up here already Linds. Too bad! If I had still been living in Brooklyn, I would have jumped on a train and met you. Gina and I also tried to get together, but I think it was the week I was moving, so that didn't work out either.
:(:(:(
But, who knows what the future will hold! I would just love a meet up.

I didn't know we were still planning a cruise....LOL. I haven't been saving so now I need to get busy. I still want to get to Kansas. I knew Lynne from YT and we only live 25 minutes away from each other, she is a great friend. Then Diana came here and I just love her so much. I want to go to her house so bad.

My best friend and I still want to go back to NYC someday, to see everything we didn't have time to see the first time! So there may be another chance! But of course, she's now married and I've been trying to convince her not to start a family too soon so we can still do some traveling together :D
And yes, when we were planning the trip, you were still in Brooklyn, but by the time we got there you had moved.

Really great suggestions in this thread. Diana, that hadn't even crossed my mind! I really can't think of anything to add, other than I will sleep more and have hellacious "dreams" when life gets wacky. I had night terrors for about a week after the wedding
Hope it's straightened out for you soon Janet, disruptions to our sleep patterns really suck!
