and more......
Pix 1 and 2 are of a quilt my cousin is making - by hand (well on the sewing machine). All the strips are 1 and 1/2 inches wide and then varying lengths. She is very talented. It is a wedding present for her daughter. She'll have someone else quilt it.
3. the story of the church in pic 3 - on the New Mexico Pueblo of Isleta. A Pueblo is an Indian reservation, but it is called a Pueblo in New Mexico.

4. a beautiful red shumack bush in the neighbors yard.
Do you see the bird bath in pic 2? There were so many pretty birds that we watched out that window!

These may be the last!
In Old Town in Albuquerque, the artists (mostly Indians) lay their jewelry and pottery on blankets along the sidewalks. Yes, I bought 2 pairs of earrings, a bracelet and necklace!

So many beautiful pictures!! I love New Mexico. When we went to Santa Fe, the Indians sold their jewelry around the town square laid out just like this. Your cousin's house is lovely. I'm glad your mom is there to enjoy all of that beauty:)

I love to go to Santa Fe too - I just love to see all the jewelry laid out on the beautiful blankets. I also love to talk to the Indians about their jewelry and pottery.
I also bought some pottery, but I bought it at the Isleta Pueblo.

It's great that you posted pictures of the items all out on the blankets. Looks so intersting. I bet the jewelry is beautiful.

Gayle, I always look forward to the pictures of your trips!!! Your cousin's place is just lovely!! The view is just beautiful with the mountains in the back ground! It's nice to see where other people live. It doesn't look like they have any grass, which is unusual for me to see because I've never been to that area of the country.
Your cousin's roses are such a beautiful color!!! Thanks so much for the pictures, Gayle!!!

You are right, there is no grass! Yep, those are about the most beautiful roses I have ever seen. The bush was there when they bought the house!
