I am so angry right now I can't stand it!!!!
As some of you know my little Izzie was spayed yesterday and I brought her home this morning. She is doing great, but needs to eat more.
Okay, Joey my other Yorkie had a little swelling right below his anus and right above his scrotum area. The Vet gave him an antibiotic and something for the swelling. I went to bed early last night. After I brought Izzie home this morning, I gave Joey his antibiotic and when I picked up the bottle of meds for the swelling, I noticed the release for the cap was broken off and the bottle was EMPTY!!! I immediately called my husband and ask what happened to the meds in the bottle. He said last night one of the dogs must have gotten into it (Gidget is the only one who gets up on the bar) and either him or my son just put the cap back on the bottle and NO ONE SAID ANYTHING LAST NIGHT OR THIS MORNING!!!! He said he didn't know the bottle was empty...so I don't know, I told him to get some f**!! brains and hung up on him. Right at this moment, I don't care if he ever comes home!!!
I called the Vet and he said it should be okay, maybe vomiting or a little diarrhea, but would be fine. How in the world could I have married such a STUPID MORON????? Why wasn't I told this morning or why wasn't I woken up last night.
I honestly don't know how much more of this stupid moronic behavior I can take. I wish you could just hear my scream everytime I think of this!!!

Sorry things arn't going well hun. I would be royally pissed too if someone would have made me aware that one of the dogs had eaten something they wern't suppose to. You were luck that it wasn't anything harmful.
Count to ten and then punch something.......(I bet you thought I was gonna say breathe didn't you...LOL) This is what I do.

I'm so sorry, Janet. :( :( :( I would be SO incredibly pissed, too, if something like this happened to me. Did your hubby sound remorseful or sorry that he didn't tell you? I think you need to have a serious come to Jesus talk with him! Sounds like things just keep getting worse at your home. Of course, I know you only tell us the bad things that happen. I am sure there are some good things, too. But, WE'RE HERE FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!! (((((((HUGS!!)))))))

It's just so upsetting because one or more could have died. I'm still upset, but not as angry as I was before. He has got to get a clue!!! I just wish I would have been told instead of being SHOCKED when I saw the pill bottle empty.
I think my Joey got some, because he does have a little bit of a loose stool. Not bad at all, but I will keep an eye on him.

Yes Sweetie there are some good things too....not as many...LOL. No he didn't sound remorseful or anything. He just felt stupid...well duh!!!! I did have a talk with him a little while ago. Told him basically he needed to start using that thing between his ears. That one or more dogs could have died because he didn't think.
No things are not getting worse....it's always like this. Girls I'm trying, but man it's hard. Good thing the good Lord blessed me with some patience, I just wish he blessed me with a tighter control of my mouth.....LOLOL (so does my hubby)

Oh Janet! How awful! I've been without a computer all day at work and am just now reading this from home. I agree, he could have told you this morning what happened! Or, could have woken you up to tell you last night. I know I would never be upset if Sam woke me up cause one of my babies got into something they shouldn't have - I'd rather wake from a deep sleep to know they are okay than to wake up and they be sick - or worse!
Because I'm so late in seeing this and replying, I'm sure things are okay now at home and hopefully your hubby and son have learned a valuable lesson from this incident. Sending you lots of ((((((((HUGS)))))))).
Love ya!

I'm sorry your day wasn't so great. Thank goodness it wasn't a medication that was extremely harmful, otherwise things could have turned out a LOT worse. BTW, how are the furballs doing? Are they ok? Or are their little tummies upset?

Everything is fine today girls....thanks for all the support. Maybe if I wasn't so hard on him at times...he wouldn't screw up so much. I just have high expectations and I have to remember that not everyone thinks like me or have the same expectations. It's a hard lesson to learn, so some of you younger ones might start practicing it now.....it's hard to relearn some things at my age...LOL
Another lesson I need to learn is to calm down and don't start jumping down his throat right away. Yes it could have been worse, but me going nuts wasn't going to help the situation one bit. Where's the Xanax when I need it....LOL
The doggies are doing great. All are eating/drinking well, Joey's stool is better. Izzie is doing great since her surgery. She's such a little doll baby. Hasn't bothered her stitches at all and is now eating better. I am so relieved.

Oh Janet, I just read this. I am so sorry this happened. What a panic this must have been on you. I am glad to hear that the fur kids will be fine. It's hard to be rational in the state of panic you were in so I understand completely the actions you took.
So so glad the fur kids are ok.

Thanks Sheryl....it is hard to remain calm when it comes to my babies, but I need to in a bad way. I'll work on it, but these boys of mine need to work on it too.
Saw you other post about your horse...I am behind you 200%.
Janet .. I haven't been on myself and just read this thread. I am glad everything is well with the furbabies.. Sometimes men dont think!! All is well and ends well, that is all that is important.. Stay calm...

I'm so glad your babies are OK! I don't know what to say about you not being told what happened with the meds, I'm just glad nothing horrible happened. Maybe that taught your hubby a lesson.
Hope things get better
