Here is my kitchen before taking it out, and everything stacked in the hallway!

And here are the "after" photos I just took after cleaning up as much as I could! We are covering the vent above the stove and not venting our new range hood. Also, the light colored cabinets base cabinets will be covered in this panel stuff we bought so eventually it will all match the color of the doors.

Thanks so much! It's pretty much exactly my dream kitchen, except in my dream it's a lot bigger LOL
But we did get so much more space than we had before, about 10 inches more space between the fridge and stove, and a couple of inches on the other side. I don't have enough stuff to put away! And I don't think I could ever use another kitchen without POT DRAWERS! I'm glad Scott suggested them :D

Lindsay, everything looks so beautiful - the kitchen is really really nice, it's just like night and day!!! How did you get the new cabinets to fit perfectly??? Did you have them made? I thought you bought them already made (I'm probalby wrong), so I don't know how they were fit so nicely to your space???

They're actually just the Home Depot line of ready to assemble cabinets, and I could design my kitchen online, which is what I did! The cabinets above the stove are quite crooked, the box must have been crooked in the first place, but luckily they aren't TOO noticeable now. We are still putting crown molding on the top, and a light rail on the bottom. We have a small light that will be hidden behind that above the sink

When I looked at the before pictures, I thought...very nice...very clean looking and then when I saw the "after" it's like WOW WOW!!! You have done a wonderful job!! Your kitchen is beautiful Lindsey.

Thanks Janet! I probably would have been fine with keeping the old cabinets if it weren't for the really old musty smell in them. I could hardly drink from a glass if it had been in the cupboard because all I could smell was that old wood smell. So, if we were putting in new cabinets, why not make it something I REALLY wanted :D

OH! I didn't realize you got them from Home Depot - well, that makes perfect sense that they would fit! LOL!!! I need new cabinets too, but I don't want to spend the money! I'd rather go to Alaska this summer! :D

These ones were actually one of the cheapest ones there! But i would rather go to Alaska too, it's beautiful there! I have family in the Yukon and we went to visit a few years ago.
