These brownies are very easy to make so thought I'd pass them along in case someone needed something for this evening.
Caramel Layer Brownies
1 German Chocolate Cake Mix
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup margarine (softened)
Mix together---divide the batter in half. Press half the mixture in a 9 X 13 greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes.
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1 bag caramels
Melt over low heat and then pour over the baked layer. Sprinkle 1 (12 oz) package of chocolate chips over the caramels.
Crumble remaining batter over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
Cool completely before cutting.
Note: The batter is very stiff so you really have to work/have patience mixing it up.
