View Full Version : Big snow!!!
We had a lot of snow today. It was so pretty outside. A lot of people are here because it is spring break, and they came up to their houses for the week. They went sledding today. I declined, but they told me it was gorgeous!

I bet the snow is pretty. You haven't said much about having snow. Have you had the snow that's been hitting the east coast?

I bet it is beautiful there Judy. Did they go sledding near where you live?
It is snowing here again this morning. We've had more snow this year than we have had in the history of our state. It's very pretty but I am getting a little tired of it now.
We have snow up here every day. We did miss the two big snowstorms though. They were further south. It snows very gently pretty much every morning. Today it did that all day.
You have to get used to it, or you just can't live here! I am sick of it too, but not that much as if I were in NYC. It is very beautiful here, and the roads are cleared right away. It's also slower and calmer up here. No snow frenzy!
I would love to go to a beach for a few weeks though:D....

We have more bad weather coming here starting tomorrow. It's suppose to rain and then turn to snow by Sunday. I doubt that we get any accumulation though......just muck.......and I'm sick and tired of the muck!!! My vehicle looks just awful but since we drive on gravel roads there's not much I can do about it.

I'm with ya on that Diana. I go up and down so many gravel roads that my bus is a mess. Try to rinse it off some, but it doesn't do any good.
My van looks bad too, but until all this crappy stuff is gone...no point in washing it now.
I am so tired of the snow. It's really starting to get to me now. The sun is shining right now so it is helping, but not sure how long it will stay with us. I need spring!
My car is always dirty, no matter what the season! My road is a dirt road, and if it's not wet from snow or rain, it's dry and dusty! It doesn't pay to ever get it washed.
My coat is always snow dirty as soon as I walk out, and so are my jeans. I can wash them every day, and it makes no difference! Forget about my boots - I don't even bother cleaning them off anymore!

I don't bother wearing boots anymore either Judy. I just keep several pair of tennis shoes ready...lol
I have to wear boots because there is a lot of snow on the ground. After the snow melts, I go into closed wedge heels (anything that I can wash off), then into flip flops (also washable), then into fall oxfords (washable again) and back into boots.
I have really nice 2" heels from the city which I really love to wear, but they always manage to sink right into the dirt or the grass! I have learned that in the country, a heel means a wedge, which doesn't sink into dirt. All of my boots, shoes and flip flops have 2" wedge heels. You can take a girl out of the city, but you can't take the city out of the girl!
