Do any of you have one? I think they are really neat. I went and looked at some today. I'm going to shop around though. I thought maybe the keyboard would seem too small but really it didn't at all. I think I like the HP mini 210.
A really neat little computer to carry around I think.
Just wandered if any of you or anybody you know has one and what they think of them. Brand and price too.:):)

I don't know anyone personally that has one. They are cute, but when I tried them out in the store...the keyboard just seemed so small. Maybe someone else here can offer more information than I could.
I think that if you want one, then you should get it. I am an electronics nerd, and
enjoy gadgets. So, if you will enjoy the netbook, do it!

I ended up ordering a netbook yesterday. I got the HP 210 series. They pretty much all have the same memory, hard drive and processor no matter what brand you get. The HP had alot of good reviews. I liked the Dell keyboard the best but I don't think their tech support is very good.
I went to Hp.com and built the same one I ordered. I saved 50. by ordering it from Walmart.
I hope I like it. One thing for sure that's a plus is I won't have to stay in one room. Right now all I have is a desk top. We're getting a wireless router so that should be nice, I can be wherever I want and still be able to go online.
I'll let you all know how I like it.:) It is supposed to be here about the middle of next week.

I got my netbook in today. I just love it so far! It's so little:D I am not having any trouble with the keyboard, I was afraid it would be awkward being so small but so far it's fine! I am in the kitchen. Seems so odd! I am always in the office on the desktop.
Hubby got all the wireless stuff hooked up. So nice of him:pso I did something nice for him....looked up the 3 day weather forecast online;):D I am so glad I talked myself into buying it. It's official, I have me a new toy:D

Whoo Hooo! My daughter has a netbook and she loves it. She keeps it downstairs. Sh also uses it to look up recipies and then just sets it on the counter and follows the recipie and doesn't have to print it out. If it turns out good she will print it.
The shift or return key is in the wrong place for me and I don't like that. Otherwise it is a neat little machine!
Enjoy it Paula!!! Good for you!

I'm glad you like it! I just put my laptop on the kitchen counter when I cook, too! Sometimes I take it to bed with me at night. It would be nice to have a netbook to travel with:)

I love my laptop too, but admit I sit in my recliner most of the time when I'm using it. I need to put it up for awhile and get off my "you know what."

How's the netbooking going Paula? Are you still really liking it? I hope you still love it. I love my laptop, but mine has an 17 inch screen so it's a bit bigger and heavy at times...lol. I've seen those netbooks at Best Buys and they are just so cute!!!

I saw lots of netbooks at the conference this past weekend. The most popular was was the Eee netbook. That's the one my daughter has and she really loves it, but the right shift key is in the wrong place and it really messes me up when I'm trying to capitalize while typing. But I guess maybe you get used to it.

Yes I still like it alot!! It's so convenient. It only weighs about 2 and 1/2 lbs. The only thing that bothers me sometimes is my eyes. The screen is only 10.1", so it's very small. But all in all I'm so glad that I bought it. Mine is a HP mini. It's perfect for what I use it for which is just to go online or play an occasional game. I bought Yahtzee for it:D I play it way too much!
Yes Gayle the key board is small but you do get used to it. And it doesn't have numbers on the right side either, only on top. That was hard for me to get used to. But after a while it's no big deal.:)
Can you make the font bigger? I think you can on my laptop. It sounds great!
So portable.
I would love a Kindle reader, although a book is not all that heavy! It's just that you can download any book you want for about $10. It takes about a minute, and there it is. You can also set it to read to you if you're driving.

What is the differene between a netbook and a lightbook? Sometimes I'm so dense....
paula1961

No you are not dense Janet. I have never heard of a light book. I'm curious to find out too. I also hadn't heard of that reader that Judy was talking about. I think I need to get out more lol!
