I found a car!!!

I got an email from carfax, about a couple of 5 speed Subarus for sale in the area. I had signed up for these kind of "alerts" with a few online car sites.

This is a one-owner, well cared for, 2004 Subaru Outback. I drove it yesterday, and it is just fine. It drives very nicely, hugs the road well, and I will be very happy and comfortable with this car.

I don't love the color. I wanted black, but this is silver, with some nice black trimming. The dealer told me that silver is really better than black for this area because it won't show the snow dirt, mud dirt, dirt dirt, etc. as much. I still wanted black! I will certainly learn to live with it though.

I am waiting to talk to my mechanic about when he can go take a look at it for me. Then I'll go pick it up! My SIL offered to check it out for me, but I'll think of some reason for sending my mechanic. As I have learned, business and family do not mix! He will go with me to pick it up though. I'm going to go with cash. I'm hoping the dealer comes down to my price if I offer him cash.

Good luck! And congrats on the new car! I have to say the dealer is right about the color. Scott has a silver car and even when it's a little muddy or dirty you can't notice it at all.

Yay!!!! I'm so glad you found a car. It sounds wonderful so I hope it checks out okay with your mechanic. Of course you already know we'll want a picture of it. My van is silver...I think you'll like it.

Not to worry about the color. I had a silver car, and it doesn't show the dirt like a black one does. You will love it.. promise!!!

Good luck Judy!! I sure hope it all works out and you get the car!!
I like black too but they are a pain to keep clean where I live too. Here..we have to deal with coal trucks and stuff, so silver would be a much better choice. Hubby's truck is dark blue and it's as much of a pain to keep clean as black.
Can't wait to find out if you got ya a new ride:D

My mechanic thinks it's a very good car. I'm going tomorrow to get it!!! I am so excited!

I guess silver is the best color for rural living....I'm glad now after reading all of your posts that it worked out for the best then.

I will take pictures for sure. Now I can feel safe in my car again!!!
