Here's a link to Jaci's engagement pictures. They turned out so good!!! I do wish that they would have done some pictures a little more dressed up.

I can't believe that she's getting married either!! On one hand I'm dreading her leaving.....she's my baby......and on the other hand I'm looking forward to it just being Glen and I. I really have mixed emotions about it all......sad and, well....not quite happy but.....glad.
Paula, you liked the same pictures I liked. I really like on of Jaci on Nate's back and the one where her leg is up and they're under the umbrella!! This is the lady that's taking their wedding pictures.

Oh Diana...the pictures are so so good. I don't think I could pick out a favorite, they're all good. I like the relaxed look, but like you said, it would have been nice to have a few a little more dressed up. They do look in love don't they!

Yes, they are in love. And as far as I can tell they are waiting until after the wedding to be "together". I'm so proud of them because I know how hard that is. I really wish that she had some time for herself before she gets married and I think that sometime in the future she'll wish that she would have but I do understand about wanting to get married.
Nate's family are all involved in the farm. I don't want her to be another farm hand and hopefully that won't happen. They have a house that Nate's Grandpa owns that they can live in but they're working on some other options. I'll be glad when they get their housing settled. It's so hard to believe that we only have a couple more months until the wedding.
Oh, I bought a nice punch bowl on e-Bay today!! This is my third one.....the first one came in with water etching on it and wasn't very pretty.....the second one came in broke......so I'm crossing my fingers on this one!!!

I know this is a little off topic, but what do you do with the first two bowls? Can you return them?
Who is doing the cooking and the wedding cake Diana? What about favors, etc.? I know you said that Jaci wants to do a lot herself as far as the wedding goes. Are you going to be involved in the party stuff?
When Jessie got married, I was involved in her gown and all, and Mackenzie's dress, but not in the party stuff. Since they already were parents, I felt that they should make their own party. I took care of "us girls."

The first bowl was badly etched and I did try to clean it but nothing was coming off. I contacted the lady and she said that she hadn't noticed it but I nicely told her that it just wasn't useable for what I wanted and we agreed that I would return it. I did end up paying the shipping for it to go back because it took so long for me to get it back to her. She was very kind about it.
The second bowl came broken. I contacted the woman that I bought it from and she sent me her insurance papers from the post office and after I got them I went in and talked to them. The P.O. ended up keeping everything and gave me forms to fill out and mentioned that I could apply on-line. That's what I ended up doing but I didn't have pictures to turn in since I'd left everything at the P.O. I just told them that the P.O. had it and they must have contacted them because I got my check in the mail the other day.

Nate's mother is making the wedding cake and she and Jaci have already talked over what they're doing. As for the reception.....we have a really close friend that is now catering and he's offered to do the cooking at his cost as a wedding gift. Jaci just needs to talk to him and figure out the menu and what our part will need to be. I think that they'll cook it all and even have the side dishes so that will work out perfectly.
I've been reminding Jaci about what she needs to be doing and thinking about but I'm staying out of making any decisions. It seems to be working well but we'll see when it comes to the last minute how well she has things planned out. It's going to be really busy for the next couple of months with Jaci's birthday, graduation, graduation party, and her wedding!!! It will all work out!!

Oh Gosh Diana! The pictures are so CUTE! I can understand how you might want some more "formal" engagement pix, and they probably will too when they get older - but these pix are so "fun" and they will enjoy looking at them when they are old and gray!
I know what you mean about wishing Jaci could have some time to herself before she gets married - my daughter got married in June after she graduated from H.S. I really wished the same for her. I had gone to college away from home and had such a fun time and met so many life long friends and I wanted the same for my daughter. But it wasn't meant to be. She's been happily married now for 14 years and I can see now that she is not the type to want to be alone. She always wants to be with someone, so I can see this was the best for her.
I bet you all are so excited about the wedding, it will be stressful, but it will be so much fun too! Does Jaci plan to go to college or school, or stay home and take care of Nate?
I can't wait to see the wedding pix, I just know you all are going to have some fun pictues!

Gayle, Jaci's a good student in school but she really doesn't like it.....never has. Right now she's planning on working at the hardware store in town (I forgot to tell everyone that she's working again......and loving it!!!) and helping Nate on the farm. Since she's grown up on a farm and helped by driving the tractor and doing what ever she could to help she'll be a big help to Nate. I hope she's not on a tractor all day long and taken advantage of that way. She's talked about going to college later but I doubt that it will ever happen....like I said she's really not into school.

Those are the ones that Jaci likes the best too.

She sounds a lot like Jessie. Jessie started college, but she also really wanted to be married and have a family. She really has found her niche too. They are very much in love, and are really a great family! There have been times when she has regretted not finishing college, but I think she has long gotten over it. As a mother, I am thrilled that she found such a love in her life. What a gift! I thought she should get her education, but never thought to wish that she would find true love.
I think Jaci and Nate will have the same, and you will also be thrilled.
