I went to my parents for church this morning. Actually went down yesterday. The service was really good. Baby Ryan was there with his Mommy and Daddy:D My youngest son was also there. There were 18 from my family that showed up, it was a really good day. After church, we had dinner together and then about 4pm I started home and got back a little after six this evening. It was a really good Easter:) I will post my pics later or tomorrow.
What did you all do today?

Gary and I went to brunch and then I fixed some strawberry shortcake for dinner later. We went over to my daughter's for a late afternoon dinner. Both our granddaughters were in fine form and kept us entertained for most of the afternoon. Emma loved the Easter basket I fixed for her. She had great fun opening each egg looking for the surprise inside.
Then we came home and I've been watching basketball ever since. I did have to take a time out of BB and watch an episode of the Tudors. Gary has me hooked on Spartacus and the Tudors. Both shows are very violent, Spartacus is a gladiator in ancient Rome, so enough said. And the Tudors, well the English were no saints, even though they professed to be!!! I really don't care for the violence, but the story lines of both shows are really good and now I'm hooked!
We had a nice day, even though the weather was a bit dreary. It misted off and on and was very humid.

Gayle, I love the Tudors! Scott has downloaded all of the seasons so we would watch an episode or two a night. I'm not sure if he has the newest season yet though!
We went to my grandma's for Easter so we did our big meal on Saturday night, and yesterday we left in the morning to drive home. So my actual Easter was just full of packing the condo :)

In the later morning, Ricky and I went to Lafayette. Where we wanted to go was closed. Should have known since it was Easter, but the mall usually doesn't close. We got a bite of lunch, then went to Menard's and Lowe's. I just like looking around in those to hardware stores. We then came home and just relaxed. My Mom went with my younger brother to his in-laws and then she went to my older brother's house. She was busy to it was mostly me and Ricky.

I remember *some* history, but sometimes I have to use google to see what was happening at the time. The TV show is pretty darned close to reality!
The show has delt with Henry's leg wound/ulcers, but didn't say why or at least if it did, I missed it. So, I looked it up last night to see if that was true to reality and to see if there was a "cause" for the wound. And it was - true to reality! Also, in real life there was no "cause" for the ulcers - just speculation. But he did have then on both legs, not just one. So again, the TV show was spot on, even not giving a reason for the leg ulcer.
I also wanted to see if the TV show delt accurately with the beheading of Cromwell and again, it did.

Glen's family went on their annual Easter picnic on Saturday. I didn't go......for one, I don't enjoy being around his family....and for two, I had to get ready to have Easter dinner at my house. We decided to have Mexican food so that was different for us. I have a wonderful recipe for enchiladas so I made those all up on Saturday. I also made some ranch style beans.
On Sunday after church the girls brought cheese dip and chips, taco salad, and guacamole. Then for dessert Mom brought cherry pie and that chocolate pudding dessert with cream cheese. Amy brought a grasshopper cake, that was wonderful, and the twins made cookies.
Jaci and Nate hid candy for the kids, even the bigger ones, so they had a big Easter Egg hunt. Of course, we all sat around and held Baby Dean!!! Then we got out the four-wheelers and went for a ride. Glen and I were on one, Dae Lynn and Damon, Jaci and Nate, and Amy had little Karlie with her. We went for a ride down by the river and, believe me, it was quite a ride!!! We went through some things that I was yelling "No, let me off!!" Glen didn't listen and we went through it all anyway!!! It ended up being really fun but I've been really sore since then!!!
After that we came home and snacked around for supper and then everyone started going home. It was a good day!! I really enjoyed not having my brother and his family here. We are more free to do other things when they're not here.
The house is a mess......I watched my little adoped Granddaughter (I'll explain when I post some pictures) yesterday......and I have Care Group this coming weekend......and I just want to be outside!!!!
