Surprise.......Another granddaugher!!!! Actually she's not my REAL granddaughter but I've adopted her as mine.

When Jaci went to school the first time at fourth grade (she was homeschooled the other years) she made friends with a little girl named Jamie. They've been friends ever since. Jamie has been through some really tough times with her Mom.....to the point that she never wants to see her again.....and legally she doesn't have to. It's been really hard for Jamie but she has a good Dad and older sisters that have helped her. I've kinda' taken over as Mom....not pushy....but enough that she knows that if she ever needs me she can come to me. Well, Jamie got pregnant last year.....and Jaci was so mad at her......but things have smoothed out and her daughter, Alexis, is just a little doll!!! Jamie does have a step-mother but I'm not sure how close they are....so I've just appointed myself Alexis's grandmother!! I've watcher her several times and she is just one of the best babies that I've ever taken care of!!

For some reason Jamie didn't have a sitter for Monday so she called. So I had Lexi all day yesterday!! I loved it!! She is 10 months old now, crawling and pulling up.....and smiles every time you talk to her!! I didn't get a thing done yesterday but play with the baby!!!!

The first picture is when she was first waking up. Glen got down on her level to talk to her. Jazzi was right there to see what was going on!!!

She's just precious! What a happy little girl:) You are a true Christian Diana. It's so important to mentor young women when they need you, and Jamie couldn't find a better example of a mom than you!!

She is just beautiful...how lucky you are to get to spend so much time with the little ones. Hopefully someday...I'll have a granddaughter since I wasn't blessed with a daughter.

Her dress was one that I had in the closet. I had gone to a Carter's outlet and bought some things that were on sale to give as baby gifts. She's been the right size a couple of times so I've sent things home with her. I thought that the dress was darling on her too. The only thing is that with her crawling it didn't work out too well but she'll probably be walking soon.

Jamie is a sweet girl and she's almost like a daughter. She's been here so much except for lately...because she's been working. Jamie graduated in December so she could work and earn money to go to college next fall. Jaci and I have felt bad that she's going to miss out on all of the year end stuff for the seniors so Jaci talked to the principal and she gets to take two people to the prom.....Nate.....and Jamie. I thought that was so sweet of Jaci to get permission.

I'm glad that you guys got to see her. I think that she's a doll!!!

You and Glen are so exceptional! Jaci too! A lot of people claim to be good Christians, but you and your family truly are good Christians. I can feel your wonderful energy even when I read your posts!

What a cutie patootie! The last picture, where she is standing is just precious, with her happy smile, and her chubby little baby feet under her pretty dress.

Jamie must be a good person. The baby looks so healthy and happy!

Congratulations Grandma!

Thank you, Judy. Jamie is a very nice person and a good mom and she's been very special to us ever since she befriended Jaci!! She does have a good family that supports her...her Dad, sisters, and a brother. They're all very close. She also has a very kind woman that babysits regularly for her and must do a good job because Lexi is so good to take care of.

I try to be a good Christian but you know it's pretty easy......since my family is so large we always have room for one more.....even if it's in our heart!!! We have so much to be thankful for and are always willing to share.
