View Full Version : Waiting To Pass Away

The phone rang last night, it was my hubby's sister. She said "Mom only has hours maybe a day or two to live" to my hubby. His Mom hasn't been doing that well for months now and we knew this. But honestly, there truly is no way to prepare I don't think for losing your Mom.
I cried for my hubby, I couldn't help but cry as I look at his face and see his own tears well up. He's the baby and he's losing his Mama.
It's just like that country song that sings about being the baby in the family, and the son has to hurry up and drive to go kiss his Mama before she passes away.
My hubby just left to Kansas about an hour ago. He's left to go kiss his Mama goodbye. Oh my heart just aches so much for him right now.
She's not eating or drinking, only thing going into her body now is Morphine. The doctors say she has hours possibly a day or so left. It's just a matter of waiting now for both of us to return to Kansas for her funeral.
Death is so natural, we all know it's coming...but it's never easy to see the hurt in those you love so very much. My husband is such a strong individual but all I could do was hold him last night when he cried for his Mama.

That is the hardest thing in the world to do. My mom was on morphine also and
I got to be with her when she died this last March. She hadn't been awake for 2 weeks before she died. I am so so sorry. My heart breaks for you and your husband. Your in my prayers.:(

Thank you ladies. It's another day and we are still waiting. My husband and I are praying now that God takes her soon. We don't want her in the state she is in now, we want her no longer in her wheel chair. She deserves to be walking again this time with God in all the beauty she has missed out for so long now.
We want to put our sadness away and celebrate her in a better place, happy with all the angels singing. This is what she would want to.
I pray she flys away soon, oh so very soon. :(

No sooner did I write my previous post and my husband came upstairs. His Mom just passed.
She has wings and is singing praises.
Thank you for your thoughts.

Oh Sheryl, I feel so bad for your husband....please reassure him that she'll always be with him in spirit and she no longer has any pain, tears, or sorrow. Just glorious love beyond measure.
Sheryl.. I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother in law, you are both in my prayers. May she rest in peace... It is hard to accept at the begining I have lost both my mother and my mother in law.. You will have good memories to hold on to.... Take Care.
