I know I've told you all about my friend Linda. Well, she lives with her daughter and her family. They went on vacation last week so Linda and I talked about everyday and I was at her house two or three times. She lives just 4 miles from me. It has been so wonderful being with her. Linda has been feeling really good lately except for a stuffy head.

This week her daughter and grandkids are all at the State Fair so we get more time to spend talking and visiting. It's not that we can't when they are home....it's just easier when they are gone and we don't have to whisper. Or we can laugh or cry all we want without anyone asking what's going on.

She has been my best friend for over 30 some plus years and I have really enjoyed our time together. I hope it continues when everything slows down for her daughter. There really isn't anything wrong with having her daughter around...we just like our private time...LOLOL. You know....there's just times when kids are not allowed....no matter how old they are. :)

Janet! I know what you mean about a special friend and liking to have time with them without interruptions. That is very special and very important! So glad to hear you say how much you enjoy her company! I can see the smile on your face while you are typing!

I understand what you mean about time alone with your friend, i too have a very special friend Pat....we met 26 years ago when we bought our first little house from them, and we all just got on so well, we have been friends ever since. Our husbands are good friends too.

We dont see each other as much as we used to, but when i do visit sometimes her daughter will stay in with us - this really annoys Pat... she wants our time alone so we can talk properly. She says that her daughter is never normally in the house... always busy out etc, then when she wants her gone she stays in to chat to me!!!!! I dont mind at all but it is nice to be on our own too.

Though we dont see each other as much, we are always at the end of the telephone, and are there for each other, it is so nice to have someone special to tell ALL to.

Oh, Janet, I'm so happy for you. I know how much you've missed visiting with Linda!! I'm glad that things have worked out......I'm sure that you have a lot to catch up on!!!! Tell her Hi from all of us on 4WT!!!!

It is nice to visit when your kids aren't there listening in. It's much easier to say things without them around.

It's such a wonderful thing to have a dear friend for that many years. That doesn't happen to everybody! I have had my friend Jan for 30 years. We still talk on the phone almost every day...sometimes for hours, lol! My problem is that I have Mike here with me 24/7:rolleyes: Some days there is a LOT of whispering going on, lol!
