Awful thing is after i did throw up a couple of times i did feel a little better, guess i can only blame it on my cooking, but i checked with mom and she was fine and we ate the exact same things and hubby was fine.

Lynne,
Heart pain can make you throw up - it's called the vagal response - PLEASE go see the doctor on Monday and if you have the pain again - PLEASE go to the ER. Hopefully, it was just something you ate, but it might be your heart!

Gayle, thats kind of why it did scare me a little, i remember when mom had her's, only her's was more in her arm, i don't remember her throwing up though.
I will go to the ER if i have another episode of it though, i promise.

Thanks Janet for texting me and you to Gayle for giving me this info. I hate going to the dr though. hopefully it was just the gurd or something i ate.

It's always better to go to the ER and find out it is GERD, than to have a heart attack and not go to the ER. I know you will go if you have the pain again! Remember too, that women often have heart pain in their back or shoulder blade, and even up in the jaw. I know you mentioned that you knew women's symptoms are often different than mens, which is typically in the chest and down the left arm. So, pay attention, young lady, and get to the ER if you have ANY more pain in the upper chest, back, jaw area!

Hmmm never heard of anyone having it in their leg before, but i guess anything is possible.
I did look up the symptoms of a blood clot but they didn't match mine.

If i am standing at the kitchen sink with no weight on that leg it just kill's me, also just sitting on the couch either with my leg up or down, it can be fine for a while and then just out of the blue it will start hurting, also walking bothers it.
So what ya say doc LOL

I don't think I have a clue on this one! Where does it hurt? Is it shooting? or is it in one place? It's not your sciatic nerve is it - starts in butt and goes down your leg? Probably not, you've had back issues, and would likely know what sciatica feels like.

Hmmmm.... I dunno!

started out in my upper thigh and buttock area, but has now moved down to mainly my calf area. Don't really think it's my back this time.

I know just suck it up and go to my dr right LOL

That is strange - it sounds like something that runs from the upper leg to the lower leg, like a nerve. Are you having any weakness in the leg? Or only pain?

I must say that I am NOT one to go to the doctor - except if I thought I was having heart pain - I'd be there in a flash! LOL! But, yes, you should go back to the doc and get that MRI.

I have been to the dr more in the past 2 yrs than i have my whole entire life (except when i was pregnant).

I will go have the MRI if it continues, now i will leave you alone and let you relax.

Thanks again for your concern and thoughts.
Good night.

Janet, is she having pain again??? I hope not. I was thinking later last night, that it might be her gallbladder. That happens sometimes after a big, higher fat meal.

Well it happened again yesterday. Hubby ended up taking me to the ER, by the time we got there my left side was going numb and tingly, along with the pain and i did throw up some. They ended up giving me baby asprin along with 2 nitro pills that did eventually stop the pain, and checked all of my vitals.

They also checked my leg out to see if they could see any signs of a blood clot since it has been hurting me so bad for a few weeks now.

They didn't seem to think it was my heart and i tend to agree with them, cause it happened after eating a large meal again. Now i am afraid to eat anything.

I am waiting for my Dr to open so i can follow up and hopefully get some test run and find out just what the heck is going on with me. I am hopeing i can get in either today or tomorrow and get this taken care of.

Oh no!! I hate to hear that you had to run to the emergency room. I hope your doctor finds out what's wrong.

I know that one time I had stress so bad that I had pain down my left arm and felt like I was going to pass out......we ran into the dr's office and my blood pressure was so high the nurse wouldn't tell me what it was.......I ended up in the hospital for several days and eventually going to another doctor to find out that I had problems with anxiety. Eventually I was put on medicine to help it but I sure thought that I was having a heart attack......sure scared me.

It just goes to show that there are other illnesses that imitate others. I hope you're better soon!!! Hugs!!!

Lynne, I'm so sorry that you had another episode - but i'm glad that you went to the doctor and they don't think it is your heart. I hope they can find out what the heck is wrong though!

Diana! That happened to my son-in-law too, except they didn't put him in the hospital - they just ran a lot of tests and decided it too, was anxiety. That must have been very scary!

Hi Lynne, I'm hoping you are feeling better today!

I don't want to scare you, but did they work you up for MS (multiple sclerosis). I do NOT think that is what this is, but you should be checked for it, given some of your symptoms, e.g., numbness, weakness and tingling.

Oh Thanks Gayle, here i was scared to death i was having a heart attack and now you don't want me to be scared about this LOL, just kidding you.

But no they didn't check for that.

Not sure if i had mentioned it or not but my leg has been killing me for about the past month, i went to the Dr for that and he wanted to start with the predisone and Tramadol, well that did not work, it's still hurting. The ER Dr did look at my leg to see if he thought there might be a clot and he did not think so. I do have an MRI scheduled but it's not till the 22nd, not sure i can hold out that long.

As for the chest pain, my Dr said to try the Previcide, so i started it today, i did not realize it was a 14 day pack every 4 months, i don't understand how it continues to work for the 4 months. I also scheduled a stress test, but not sure if i will keep that app or not, the ER Dr and my Dr were both pretty sure it was not my heart, so why go through that, it also is not till the 22nd. I am thinking it is more of a gastrol ?, not sure i could make it through the stress test with my leg any ways.

I did go back to work today and other than being tired and my leg hurting, i'm ok.

I'm eating light and smaller portions so as not to fill myself up, but hubby is getting on me about my weight, he says i am skin and bones and don't look healthy. I know i am exerting more energy just walking and just like before my back surgery i lost so much weight.

Good gosh i am such a mess, i've never been like this before and i am not liking it at all. Only a couple of more days and the puppies will be in their new homes, so that will be one less thing i have to dael with, as much as i will miss them, they have been good babies.
Ok i will stop complaining now.

Lynne....I'm worried that the dr. hasn't found anything out yet. Please take care of yourself!!!

Yes, Gayle....it was VERY scary. I couldn't get a hold of Glen on the phone so I drove to the shop with Jaci with me. She was only about 9 or so and with the pain and feeling like I was going to pass out......the trip was very scary. I was so worried about passing out and having an accident with her with me.

I eventually found Glen and we drove to the dr's office. When they took my blood pressure it was sky high.....and I was put immediately in the hospital. The sad part was that I wasn't treated for anxiety....I was treated for high blood pressure and the meds weren't doing anything. I had several days where I really thought that I was going to die of a heart attack. I finally went to another doctor when mine went out of town and he treated me for anxiety........after that I was soooo much better!!! I changed doctors after that!!!!
