My poor little Brenna was scratching at her right ear for a little while now so when I took Gidget in to have her stitches taken out from her spay, I had them check over Brenna. She has a yeast infection in both ears. I have to put these drops in her ears and clean them really good about 20 minutes after.
It must be working, because I took her and Gidget in on Friday and Brenna is hardly scratching her ear at all. I just love this little girl!:)
Happy to hear Brenna ear infection is going away :)

Janet, I am so glad that Brenna is better. Mine have been scratching alot lately. Maybe it's the weather and their skin is dry or something. Any suggestions? I've checked them over and over and they don't have fleas or anything like that so I am at a loss.

Oh, I'm so sorry that Brenna has an ear infection. I just hate it when they scratch their ears, I know how annoying it is when my ear itches! I'm glad she's better.
My boyz have been scratching too - not sure why though - can't find any fleas.

Not sure why she has it....I thought at first it was because of dry skin, that maybe I didn't rinse her well enough after a bath. I saw no evidence of that at all. That's when I decided to take her to the Vet and so glad I did, before it did damage. I would have them checked ladies just to make sure.

Layla used to get chronic ear infections, I hated having to see her uncomfortable! The vet thought it was from her food so we switched a lot until we found something that made her scratch less. When I first got her and took her in for her shots at 10 weeks, she had scabs on her head and when the vet stuck a cotton swab in her ear it came out completely brown :( She had a bad yeast infection already at that age! It's a lot tougher now to tell because she can't scratch her own ears, so I rub them for her as much as I can and have them checked when she's at the vet. So far we've been pretty good though!
