I don't usually do that any more, but it's always in my mind to eat healthier, be kinder, volunteer more and be more of a servant to God. I'm doing better...but if I made the resolution...I'd fail completely...lol. How about the rest of you?

I made a resolution last year to weigh less at the end of the year than I did at the begining and I did that........I think that I'll do that one again. Other than that I really hadn't given it much thought.

I made the resolution to get Kirby to pass the Canine Good Citizen test, and then pass his Therapet certification test. Right now it seems impossible because he is a 6 month old wild beast:eek: We have a lot of work to do:rolleyes:

I'm certain that wild beast will do just fine :D

Well, I haven't made any firm resolutions, but I do have a list of things that I want to try to improve on:
1. I plan to begin a Bible reading plan to read the Bible in 90 days. Now, I'm not planning to try to stick to 90 consecutive days, because I will just fail at that. I will try to read each daily assignment when I can and check it off. Hopefully, I can complete the plan in 6 months.
2. Just read the book, "365 Thank Yous: The Year a Simple Act of Daily Gratitude Changed My Life", so I plan to try to write thank yous all year. I'm not going to try to do the 365. Even the author didn't succeed in that, but I want to be more thankful this year in general, and write as many notes as I can. Also, want to express gratitude to God more frequently and more sincerely than in the past.
3. Plan to lose weight this year and get into shape. We did not start to diet on Jan. 1 or anything, but plan to begin the 17 day diet plan within the next week or so and begin exercising more. We my buy XBox 360 with Kinect. There is a Kinect game that has workout routines with a personal trainer. Garrett and Melissa are doing this at our house, and it looks really good.
4. Plan to be more effective at work, make more sales calls, write thank yous to customers, make as much money as possible in an ethical manner so I can retire in 5 years. I would retire this year is I could since the baby is coming and will be in California, since I don't get so much vacation, but the recession killed any hope of retiring that quickly.
That's about it. Oh, also hope to send birthday cards, anniversary cards, sympathy cards, encouragement cards, get well cards, Thanksgiving and Christmas cards to all my friends and relatives this year. I know this is a lot, but I just feel that we all need to do better. We have time to do these things, just spend too much doing things that are wasteful. At least that's how it feels to me.
Now, just have to make this all happen!!!
I thought about the usual resolutions, and decided not to bother. Either I will lose weight or I won't, save money or not, and so on.
So, I decided that at this point in my life, my 2011 New Year's Resolution is to enjoy myself. So far, I have been keeping at it!
