Ok ladies, I know that each of you have something that you've bought or been given that you absolutely love and you've repeated to your self over and over how happy you are that you made that purchase or gotten that gift. So share with the rest of us what you're so happy with!
For myself, my husband and I built a new house seven years ago and we had a cental vacuum sweeper put in. I absolutely love it!! It has so much more power than any of the other vacuum sweepers and I use it for all the floors in my house. The down side is that I have a really long hose to work around, but I don't mind.
I also bought a Hoover carpet shampooer that I really like. It's easy to operate and use. It's been really handy, especially since I have a dog in the house.
I'll think of some other things later!
So, what about you?

I think my favorite thing would have to be my tool box. I have everything I could possibly need for fix-ups or repairs around the house. I was always having to go to the garage and trying to find what ever it was I needed, now I just go to my closet and get out my tool box. Just about every year I ask for a different tool of some sort. I would love to have a nail gun, but for small repairs and crafts.

I would have to say right now... my puppy, Hope.... I know she is not a "thing" but she is the best thing I have gotten lately... she is the most precious little thing and makes me smile everyday!

Janet, I buy my tools in pastel or neon colors so my husband won't carry them off. No man wants to be seen with a hot pink screwdriver!!! I also have one that is flowered!!!
My computer!
I have made more wonderful friends online than I could have imagined. Several, I have met in Real Life, but some who I have only talked with on the phone but still consider my best buds... like Emmsmom! She's been a very good friend for years.
Without my computer I'd have never known so many great people.

I have a lot of tools, but I don't think I've ever seen them in pastel colors or flowered. I'm not a real girly, girl so I don't know if it would really matter to me what they looked like. I just want them good quality and in my too box...LOL

My favorite things I own are:
- my engagement ring -- antique platinum and diamonds family heirloom from the early 1900s passed down from my hubby's great grandmother to his grandmother to his father who gave it to his mother as an engagement ring and his mother gave it to my hubby to give to me (she must really like me huh?)
- my yorkies -- (pictures attached) Hobbs, my oldest yorkie, we got as a present for our first Christmas together (Christmas 2005) from my parents. The second yorkie, Hootie, we bought with our own hard earned money back in June. She is from the exact same parents as Hobbs. We LOOOOOVE our furbabies!
- My adam+eve shirts. Does anyone watch Oprah? Did you see the episode where Oprah revealed her most favorite shirt ever?? Well, that is what the adam+eve shirt is and I tell ya what....Oprah was not lying! These shirts are AMAZING! You can sleep in them, wear them to work or church, wear them out on the town, wear them to work out in, EVERYTHING! I cannot get enough of these shirts.

Rebecca, you're little furbabies are so cute!! I have one little yorkie, Reuger, and he's very special too. I don't know what I'd do without him. He's great company!!!
Janet, my husband uses tools all the time. Since I've started using the "girly" ones they tend to stay in the house. Before I got them my tools would all disappear! I also buy the cheaper ones because my husband needs really good quality tools. He knows that mine won't hold up as well so he avoids using them.

I believe they are all sold out there their official website here, but I know there are other oline stores that sell them.
They are SUPER soft, silky material that you can dry in the dryer and they don't shrink. I swear I have worn my black one 4 days this week.

They are made out of the BEST material! It is so soft and silky. I pair the black shirt with cute skirt or pants and wear it to work and church. Very comfy and stylish.

I'm going to have to jump on the bandwagon and say my yorkie, Layla :) She makes me smile every day.
My computer would also be up there, I'm here whenever I can and any information I need is at my fingertips! It also has helped me keep in touch with so many friends, and make new ones!

Mine are good quality, but my husband and son have to ask to use them, I keep my toolbox locked and I'm the only one with a key. That way I know what goes out and it better come back, they are not allowed to take them outside. My husband needs good quality tools too. He does auto body repair. He really doesn't need too many new ones now, he's been doing this for about 38 years and he takes great care with his tools, they are his livelihood.

My mother always had a toolbox. I put one together for myself, and whenever I went to get something out of it, what I needed was missing. Someone had gotten into my box. I found the items put them back, but it kept happening. Finally the box completely disappeared. It had to be elfs or something, because no one in my house would admit to even knowing the toolbox existed & definitely did not take it :) .
When my mom go to the point that she could not stay in her home and moved to assisted living, I got her toolbox. Some of the items in it had sentimental valve. I had it maybe a month. No one in my family got it either, but the box itself is in our garage with a variety of nuts, bolts and screws stored in it.
I gave up. When I need something I go to the garage and hunt. If I like what I find, I hide it in a drawer in my laundry room or bedroom. Forget the toolbox. I have a few select items where no one will bother to look. :D

I have several things I'm happy I have:
1. A music box my grandparents received as a 50th wedding anniversary present almost 40 years ago.
2. A lucky horseshoe that my grandfather had nailed over the door of the house my mother was born in - it's all rusted now but I still have it.
3. My mother's Mothers Ring - I had my boys birthstones added to it:)
4. Silver Dollars (in bank safety deposit box) that my grandfather used to give us for Christmas and birthdays each year - my mom always took them from us and gave us a dollar bill.....we didn't know until we were older that she was saving these for us:) Although I can have them now - I've told my mom to keep them. It's in her will that they are in the box and she has them seperated in bags with each of our names on it. All I'm going to do is turn around, divide them between my boys, and put them back in the safety deposit box.
5. And last, but not least in importance, complete family tree history on my mom's mom side of the family and partial family tree history for her dad's family. It is very interesting to find out where my ancestors were from.
I guess you can tell from my posts that I'm extremely family oriented when it comes to preserving history and things. I've always been like that. Hubby calls me a "pack rat" - I call it saving things for my kids or grandkids :D

My late husband's wallet. While he was alive, I NEVER went in it, and when he died I had to. I never knew that he carried a special picture of me that I had made several years ago and also some of my sons from a previous marriage made when they were in grade school. (We started dating when my youngest was 5 years old - he's 27 now)

I also have a Select Comfort Air bed and my husband and I really like it. It was kinda' expensive but it's suppose to last twice as long as a regular mattress. Well worth the money!!

I'm back, decided to actually answer the question.
My favorite thing(s) are my Whirlpool Duet front loading washer and dryer. They have transformed my life as much as something like appliances can. Before I had small top loading Maytag washer and matching dryer. The front loading huge set that I have now will do so many more clothes at one time. It has made a big difference in how quickly and efficiently the laundry can be done. I do half as many loads as before. Awesome machines!!!!

After I reread some of the other posts here, I thought I'd better add my computer and my Yorkies and Golden Retriever.
I would love to have the Duet front loaders, but that will have to come in the distant future. I've heard they are the best!!!:)

I would have said my Yorkies, but it's hard to think of them as things. I don't really know what they are. They are some type of mystical magical creature, semi-human that seem to cast a spell over you. They are certainly not dogs or something common like that. ;)

Never heard yorkies be described like this, but this is definately the best description anyone can give! Mystical magical creatures that are semi-human and cast a spell over you! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! :p :p :p Marilyn, do you care if I put this in my siggy on YT?

No problem, Rebecca. Have fun with it. I've been telling folks this for a while now. There are lots of nice breeds of dogs, but there is just something incredible about Yorkies. Zoe and I have such a unique relationship. I've never had a relationship like this with anything that wasn't human.

my yorkie Tila.
by far.
I actually had to write some stupid paper on like a seemingly small event that impacted my life, and I chose the phone call from the pet shop that they had a female yorkie and if we wanted to see.
I love her SO much
I agree yorkies are different, I love my other dog but it's just very different with my Tila. She just makes me very very happy!
BEST PURCHASE EVER! (and really expensive, 2000!)
(ugh the gardeners next door are so noisy btw)
I would have to say our baby Penny. She is the absolute joy of my life. I work from home, and she keeps me company every day, cuddles with me at night, and reminds me to take a few minutes for fun.
This has been a very rough year, and I really don't know if I could have made it through without her.
1) My fav pic of her
2) Cuddling with her daddy
Other than her, I would have to say I'm very thankful for my car. I have never had a car with a working heater, good gas mileage, nice interior, etc. It's more than 10 years old, but with winter hitting hard this week, I am reminded how truly blessed I am.
