and i'm not talking cigarettes here ladies.....i have a friend who occasionally takes a puff puff to relax and unwind. she says it's like drinking alcohol to relax.... you know a good glass of wine whatever.... my hubby says there are people out there that smoke that you wouldn't believe it if you saw it. just wondering what ya'll's opinion of it is....i know that if you have a terminal illness or glaucoma that it is legal and i think it is legal in three or four states to grow it in small quantities and smoke out in public in certain places. when my hubby was deployed in san diego he said he saw people just walking along puffing away and that it was legal in some places.

I haven't done it in a while, but I do enjoy it. To me it's better than alcohol, no hangover.

I didn't think it was legal anywhere in the US. But I could be wrong.
I personally don't care for it. Between the ages of 15 to 17 I liked it but even then it was only with groups of friends. I have a few friends that smoke and I've tried it again like 2 or three years ago and didn't like it. I only tried it b/c I was REALLY drunk and I wasn't thinking. It does different things for everyone and for me it just puts me to sleep. I don't know why it didn't when I was younger.
So I guess to answer the question simply, Nah, I dono't smoke....LOL

I hate to admit this, but I was a kid once too ya know!!!
I use to when I was younger and shortly after we were married. At parties and such. Never JUST to be smoking it. It has been years and years....at least 28 or more.

I've never enjoyed smoking of any kind...cigarettes or anything else. It just isn't something I'm into. I guess I have a phobia of marijuana. I dated someone for a really long time who turned into a pot head. Loved pot over everything else...including me. I dumped him and vowed I would never smoke the stuff. I tried it a couple of times while we were together, but never liked it.
I only tried it once! and didn't care for it. I was about 17 yrs old. Now ciagarettes is another story, I began smoking at 15 and gave it up at 21. I hate the smell now....I rather have a nice drink or a occassionaly glass of wine... I am more of a social drinker...

I don't do it and I don't like it. I tried it once when I was 19 to make my boyfriend at the time think I was cool :( I ended up getting really sick. Everyone I know who does it regularly ends up trying other things too. My boyfriend and I had a big talk about this a few weekends ago, after I saw him doing it at a party. I told him I don't want to see it, or know about it, and if he's going to do it, don't let me know. He told me he would rather not lie, so he just won't do it at all.

Those kind of smokes are available everywhere here, we have what they call "coffee shops" on every street corner... i have never looked inside one of them.
Up until a few years ago i didnt know what those "smokes" looked like, till my Mom showed me.
It's never been my thing, it just does not interest me.
I prefer a nice glass of wine or long drink :p
I do smoke normal cigs, which is bad enough!

The only time I've ever tried a cigarette was on my 20th birthday...I smoked 2 puffs of a Capri cigarette, hated it, and haven't even looked at a cigarette since. Being obsessive compulsive about not getting wrinkles has been the best deterent for me not to smoke.

Don't worry, Janet. I've never seen one in person and have only heard one other person talk about it. Here is a site that explains it.

Oh my... I can't believe I'm going to admit to this... ;)
I used to LOVE to smoke pot. For a while I was nearly a daily user. Once I get married and started my family, I decided it just wasn't something I could do anymore, so quit. I admit if it was legal I'd be first in line to buy mine, but since it's not, it's simply not worth the risk.
There are still times when I'm really stressed that I think how nice it would be just to have a toke and unwind. LOL But I haven't done it in a long LONG time.
I don't drink, since I just don't feel good from alcohol and I'm on several prescription meds, so maybe that's why it still appeals to me.

Don't do anything like that. Don't drink either. Life is interesting enough when sober. Can't say I haven't had a few drinks before, when I was much younger, but don't like the way it makes me feel and act. My hubby does tell a funny story about one time a few years ago when we went to Mexico on our motorcycles and I was not planning on drinking, but I was thirsty, afraid to drink the water, or Coke with ice in it, and a brother-in-law kept buying margaritas, and I ended up having a couple. I was singing to Tejano music while riding on the back of my husband's bike back to South Padre. Gotta admit, that was kinda fun.
Even though I don't drink now, I don't have a big problem with others who drink as long as they don't over indulge & get drunk. It's not fun to be sober in a room full of people who are high or drunk. They think they are so interesting, funny, sexy, or whatever. You can't even have a fun conversation with them. We have chosen to not socialize with people who do these things. All of our friends are non-drinkers now.
Honestly, though some might find it hard to believe, life is much simpler this way. And at this stage in life, I'm all for simplicity.

I used to smoke often in high school....Then years went by and really never touched it again. But....Before my hysterectomy I experienced extreamly horribly cramping during my period. It would get so bad I'd become ill from the pain. I found out that smoking a couple hits eased the pain almost 100% and ended my nausea symptoms.
So now having a hysterectomy I don't really have an excuse to smoke anymore but occasionaly do, just being honest. A hit or two and I'm asleep like a baby. It's just not seen by myself as a "party thing" but more as a relaxation anti anxiety aid for those times when I feel as if I can't sleep or unable to unwind, etc.
I really don't even like it so it's weird for me even admit to having smoked it. Doesn't make any sense, LOL.
