What do you guys think of corsets?

Before I had kids I was a 18in waist now that three little miracles grew inside of me I was left with a 24in waist. I would like to be 18 in around but I want to be more practical and say 20 in.

I don't want a disformed body and my insides all squeeze in there but I would like a shapier body. I have been doing a little research and I am thinking of getting an underbust corset.

Any opinion, ideas or suggestions welcome :D

Sorry I don't know anything about corsets either, I would think they are uncomfortable to wear , what about spanxs ? I see them in stores and hear good things about them on talk shows.

I would think they would be uncomfortable too. I wore a halloween costume a few years ago with a corset top that sucked me in really nicely, but it was just so stiff and weird to move in! I guess it's also like a bridesmaid dress I wore with boning in it... when I took it off at night I had deep marks in my skin after peeling it off :( I would think Spanx would be more comfortable. I have a couple of friends who have Spanx and swear by them! I am usually all for beauty over pain (as my massive collection of 4+ inch heels will show), but when it's uncomfortable around my stomach and ribs, it really bothers me.

I'm just too darn big to think about either....lol. I have heard that the spanx are nice.

I don't know what to say either Jessica except that it must be nice to have a 24" waist:D I haven't heard of the spanx. I sometimes wear a cami though.

I always wear a bodyshaper. I'm so used to it that a bra feels uncomfortable!
Its a one piece, light control, and feels like a comfy bathing suit. It doesn't hold my waist in, but it just keeps all the jiggles and bumps under some control. It's a Barely There and I love them.

Hmm, well I might get one but I can wait to see if they go on sale :p

I might end up going to Florida for my spring break so I wanted to look especially nice. I know theirs a bunch of tough competition and I don't want to fall behind :D

I will give you the 411 on the corset if I do end up getting one.

It's probably one of those things that you really just have to try out. You may love it or hate it, but at least you'll know:)

If you get a strapless one piece bathing suit that's comfy and lightweight, it's the same difference, and good for Florida. You can wear that under your clothing instead of underwear.

You won't fall behind, judging from your pictures Jessica!

I know I just wish it was something cheap to try out :p
