Donna, I think the plan you left on my profile page is a good one. As I mentioned, these plans are like an HMO - an medicare HMO. I think as long as you are pretty healthy, they are a good plan for the money. You should check to see which doctors/hospitals are on the plan, because you will have to use them. I like only $3350 out of pocket per year.

with Fred Ramentol from AARP Medicare Complete Choice Plan 2 which is underwritten by United Healthcare. I am not going to go with the traditional Medicare program. Medicare cost $94.60 per month and this is taken out of your social security check monthly. If you want to take out a supplement to the Medicare it is anywhere from $150 to $250 extra monthly. This is too much money for me. I went with the above plan which is going to cost me the $94.60 every month. Social Security Medicare pays this to United Healthcare. It is taken from my SS check and sent to the insurance company.

The benefits of the insurance company is as follows….
    No other monthly premium
Part D prescription drug coverage is included
The annual out of pocket maximum is $3350
    There is no deductible
The primary care office visit to the doctor is $10 copay
The specialist if so desired is $25 copay
An annual routine physical if no charge and no copay
Preventative services include colorectal screening, mammogram, Pap smear, prostate cancer screening, cardiovascular disease testing, etc.
Immunizations covered are pneumonia, flu, and hepatitis B
Inpatient hospital visits are $250 day for the first 14 days and $0 thereafter
Inpatient hospital visits are $350 if you go to an out of network hospital such as if you are traveling and have to be admitted to a hospital
Outpatient surgery and hospital services at a free standing facility is 20%.....30% if you go to a hospital for outpatient surgery
Urgent care at a walk in clinic is $40 copay
Emergency room visit is $50 copay
    Ambulance is $150 copay
Durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs, oxygen, etc is 20%
Diabetes supplies are no copay. Meter is free and the test strips and lancets are no charge
    Lab services is $14 copay
    x-rays are $15 copay
compex x-ray such as mri and ct scans are 20% coinsurance in a free standing facility and 30% in a hospital
generic drugs are $5…preferred brands are $35

the extra benefits on this plan is 24 hour nurseline
passport program which is health care if you are a frequent traveler
    vision care for $25 copay
SilverSneakers fitness program at most any known gym such as Curves, Shapes, Bally, etc at no charge…just show your ID card at your choice facility. Also good at the YMCA/YWCA
Hearling screening annually for $25 copay
Dental with 2 routine exams per year at no charge…..two cleanings every year…..on x-ray every year. You have to use a dentist on their plan for this coverage.

My prescriptions are on their list of covered drugs and my doctor is also on their list so this is good for me.

This agent will come to you home if you are interested in talking with him. His name is Fred Ramentol and he can be reached at 813-766-4755 or e mail at fredramentol@verizon.net This is what my cousin chose, what do you think? Read only when you have time.

I just don't understand why you have that option and I don't, cause you're special.
