I love that song Kat. It was the theme song for a company that I used to own one of their franchises. We love you!

teri88 05-23-2008 05:20 AM

Kat, thank you for that it was really beautiful. Do you mind if I steal your idea and post it on YT? I know we have several members there who's husbands are in Iraq.

A very dear family friend lost her brother in the twin towers, so it really brought tears to my eyes!

Happy Memorial Day to my Father, who was a Sargent in WWII. He was a war hero. I have his medals, including his Purple Heart, his dress uniform and a book of stories he wrote about his experiences during the War.

I admire and respect you so much Daddy for your heartfelt service for our country.
I Love You

judy 05-26-2008 06:56 AM

And, of course, some rock and roll....

Lee Greenwoods "God Bless The USA" is perfect for today Judy.
I just listened to it too.
Your pride in your father is heartwarming. Sounds like he was quite a man.
The link didn't work for me either, but I found the song at the same url that you posted.

That's so pretty. The songs back then were fun.

I remember us girls sitting on the stoop of my boyfriend's house, listening to them harmonizing these songs for hours. We3 thought they were so cute! Great memories.

June 3 rd ..... Song for the Day .................

Today will be a hot day and the days are flying by soon it will be Summer!!!

teri88 06-03-2008 05:43 AM

oooh that's beautiful! I was coming on here to post a song of the day but Gina beat me to it! Can we have two??

This is my daughter, Megan. Some of you know her from yorkietalk. (MeganS)....anyway, we went to an open mic night Sat., to see a friend of hers perform. Megan had thought she might sing, but they didn't have accompaniment. At the show a lot of the teens sang accapella so I talked her into singing. I'll warn you she made a couple of mistakes...she didn't warm up so her voice cracked twice. And...she forgot the words once! But she handled it well and I was proud of her. This is only the second time she has sung in public by herself. She does shows all of the time, but she is always in the ensamble. Let me know what you think. (and she doesn't come on here, so you can be honest) I really mean that....I just can't be objective so I'd like to know what you think!
