Way to go Janet. So very proud of you.

Janet 03-31-2012 07:04 PM

Thanks Jess!! I am so anxious for more to come off. It's like Diana said, that it was easier losing with Amy and Dae Lynn. I have my friend here and we're both doing well. It really does help to have a buddy.

DianaB 04-02-2012 08:28 AM

I think that I've lost 2-3 pounds!! Yay......Not exactly sure where I'm at though!!

Janet 04-02-2012 01:13 PM

I bet you're doing really well. Now go get yourself a scale so you won't have to wonder.

DianaB 04-10-2012 10:37 AM

Ha! Ha!! I'm too cheap!!! I'll just start back again where it's at........so I have 10 pounds to lose to get back to where I was at!!..........GROAN!!!!!

judy 04-10-2012 11:12 AM

Good for you, Diana!

Janet 04-10-2012 01:44 PM

After losing 11 lbs I'm stuck. It will pass in a few days I'm sure, as long as I keep doing what I'm suppose to.

judy 04-11-2012 04:18 AM

I am up 11 pounds from August, and have been just eating and eating!

I may decide to eat healthy again soon. I hope so, before I gain too much!!!

Wow Janet, 11 lbs is a lot! Good luck!

I am walking at least 30 minutes at a day on my treadmill now. My cousin is also trying to work out so we're encouraging each other. She does hers at lunch, I do mine after work! I am feeling better already, after just a couple of days. I think it makes such a difference with me because I sit ALL DAY at work. Then I would usually go home and sit all evening in front of the tv  That's so bad for a person. So even just the little bit of exercise I'm doing I think is making a huge difference in my energy and even in my mind and feeling a little better about myself.

I started using Noom on my tablet. It gives me 4 tasks per day - reading an article, logging my lunch, logging exercise, and something else - usually some sort of challenge (yesterday was don't eat in front of the computer or tv... oops, I read that after I had already had lunch in front of the computer and supper in front of the tv - I failed!)

I know eating more healthy foods is a big step but I haven't really done it yet... but like I told Scott last night, eating a handful of chips after exercise is still better than eating a handful of chips after sitting on the couch all night lol!

Oh I used to also use FitDay.com - same basic idea, you log your meals and snacks and exercise online for free. They had almost any food you could think of in their database! You would just choose the type of food, brand name, and which variety you ate! It counted your daily calories for you.

I am up about 11 lbs since winter too - but I was way heavier than you to begin with. I just can't seem to stop snacking at night. That is my problem. I do fine with breakfast lunch and dinner, but after dinner, watch out! LOL!

JJJ 04-11-2012 07:09 PM

On my March vegan diet I lost about 5lbs and everyone was freaking out. So I had to gain them back. I had a nice flat stomach but no body care, they thought I was too skinny. :(

judy 04-12-2012 04:26 AM

I don't think I will stay on the Medifast diet. I love the bars, but I think eating low carb, healthy, small meals is more normal.

Here's what I'm thinking:
Breakfast - bar
snack - bar
lunch - fruit, 100 cal. bagel, protein
snack - fruit or bar
dinner - protein and lots of green veggies
snack - low carb, low cal something good (fruit maybe)
2 tbls. peanut butter - late night snack

I weigh 140.8, and want to lose 7 pounds.

If I ate that Judy....I would absolutely starve to death!!! Plus, it would get old real fast.

I finally broke my not losing streak...I've lost another pound so 12 lbs total so far.

Shada 04-12-2012 03:19 PM

Good for you Janet!!!
And to everyone that has lost... hard hard hard to do. Proud of you all.
I quit smoking last Feb. Over a year now. Good for me! But sadly have gained weight... knew it would happen, expected it to happen.. and about 15 pounds later, I am still 15 pounds heavier. :(

Worse thing is I am darn near OK with that!!!! Older I get... things are not as important to me as they should be. I have the equipment I need to lose. I have the time needed to lose. I have the willpower needed to use.
I just need the mindset to get started...
