Oh, I LOOOOOOOOVE that song. It's definately one of my all-time favorites.

I think God and Heaven are all just way too great for our comprehension. Words cannot describe either of them. And I agree with Marilyn that I believe Heaven is not a physical place, but a spiritual place.

I'll contribute to the "Never Ending Thread"...

My thoughts, as of late, are rather 'all over' the place.

Should I paint my vanity white, or creamy yellow?

Should I take the dogs to the groomers, or bathe them myself?

I really should get a Living Trust, so my son's inheritance won't be tied up in probate.

Why is business so slow today?

I pulled out two gray hairs, and now they're growing back and sticking straight up. I should have plucked them out again, before coming to work.

Maybe I'll meet up with Miss Clairol this weekend.

Why do I still have "Dial Up" at home, when I can get DSL for half the price?

I pay far too much for cable TV, when I only watch a few stations.

I wonder if Grissom is coming back to CSI.

I'm glad my mom wasn't a stay at home mom :p

I wish my mom would call and not bring up money for once.

I wish I had a kitchen so I could teach myself how to cook a full meal.

I wish I had a bit more direction in my life career-wise.

I wish tuition would be lower.

I wish I had a dog, no offense toward my fish, but they're...fish.

I hope my parents really do accept my boyfriend cause he'll be their son-in-law if he asks to be.

I wish I could make a career out of scuba diving.

I wish my roommate would be able to come up with more constructive advice rather than just 'pray about it,' sometimes suggestions are nice.

...I could go on...

The discussion was over responsibility, not money. You're still not getting it.

I wish my children would get it.:confuse2:

I hope I can find the time to get a couple of internet businesses going so I can be self employed. (I actually have a couple of lucrative ideas. This is not just pie in the sky.)

I hope it's not cold and rainy too many more days before spring.

I hope things work out for our youngest daughter. We actually think the guy may be a keeper from what we've see so far.;)

I love the dynamic that Marilyn and Melissa have here! It seems like yall have such a wonderful mother-daughter relationship. I love it! :)

I wish I could find a job that I love that has all the benefits of the job I have now. I really hate my job, but I just cannot give up my salary, medical insurance, and bonuses that I get from that job because I am supporting my hubby and I while he's finishing school. I have to stick it out 4 more months...then I'll be going back to school!

Marilyn GOOD LUCK in your business ideas! You seem like such a smart lady and I would not be surprised at all if your ideas for a business really took off. :)

Marilyn 01-26-2007 08:24 PM

Thank you, Rebecca. I brought a program home from hubby's office today that I will need for one of the ideas. Now I just have to get off 4WT, YT & My Space long enough to load the software and check it out.

Ah, the sacrifices we must make. ;)

Oh and about Melissa, both of our daughters are totally, indescribably awesome, but don't tell them that. It will go to their heads. ;) ;) We give in to them too much as it is. We had them after 30, when we had established careers and were financially able to spoil them a tad. Parenting is hard when you want to give them so much, but know you must set limits for their own good. They have to learn to be responsible adults.

I love the interaction between you and Melissa on here. You can tell your family is a close one. Don't worry Marilyn...they'll 'get it', and when they do it will be like....
duh, now I know what they meant." :)

I'm the oldest of 3 girls and my parents had us in their 30's also. I can relate to what Melissa is going through.

I wish my boyfriend was interested in travelling! My brother's on his way home right now, just got back in the country from Cuba. My friend just got back from Europe. My other friend is in Mexico. I have an itch to get out and see the world, but nobody to go with, and too scared to go alone :(

I wish my dog wasn't allergic to everything! I got home from work a few days ago and her whole face was bloody, she had been scratching at her eyes and they were all blistery so I rushed her to the vet to find out she's just having another allergic reaction to SOMETHING :(

I wish my mom and I could have a better relationship.

I wish there were more hours in a day!

How am I supposed to show I'm responsible? I was trying to work with yall and was just asking for a loan and I'd pay you back when I got the money. If yall let me have a job I could have been responsible from the start and not have had to go to you for money to 1) pay for Xmas presents and 2) pay for my gear. You were starting to sound more like a tax collector than family. So rest assured, I got your point from day 1, you just couldn't accept that I had, even after I'd told you I got it.

Glad to hear yall think he's a keeper so far. I'm convinced he is, and you saw that text message, he said "as soon as I can marry you, I'm planning on it." Better get used to him cause he ain't goin no where missy :p I'm pretty sure he's stickin around for good.

:D :D :D

I love it, too!!!!! My mom and me are really close, but I'm not so sure I want her on here reading all my personal info! I also don't like to get her involved on issues reguarding my hubby and me.

rivermom 01-28-2007 12:10 PM

Oh goodness, I feel like I am watching a "family soap opera" here. :( I can feel the discussion heating up, and nothing gets hotter than a Mama and her Daughter communicating issues...

Marilyn 01-28-2007 05:59 PM

This is getting way too weird, too many people listening in. So all of you, put your fingers in your ears for a minute, okay?

Hey, Melissa, pppsssttttt, Melissa, are you there, well anyway, I can't put the stamp of approval on your firefighter dude until the time comes when he asks your Dad. I'd kinda spoil things if I did that. I mean, what would be the point of him asking if he was sure of the answer. He has to be nervous, you know, palms a little sweaty and all. That day is a story he will tell for years if it comes, and I hope it does.;) Just between us, okay.

Ladies, you can take your fingers out of your ears now. :D :D :D
