My hubby saw something on TV about the woman who started making the little doodads you mentioned. If I have the story correct, she and her children were making them for fun, decided to try to sell them online so started a website, got her parents to helping make them, got so busy, she rented a building and hired help to make them. Her daughter was at the swimming pool when a man saw them and ask her about them. She told him her mother made them. He gave her his card told her to have her mother call him. He bought the business for $2 million. All of this is supposed to have happened in a year to a common housewife. Why couldn't we have come up with this idea??!!

I saw that too, she was on Oprah. The guy at the pool was the inventor/designer of the crocs.

Janet, you're definitely NOT too old to wear them. I have a pair and I really like them and we're about the same age. I have a black pair because I ususally keep my shoes pretty basic. My daughter has a navy pair and a pastel mulit-colored pair. You really should get you a pair. I love them in the summer because I can just slip them on and off.

Mandy I can understand, a few years ago I broke my 5th medatsol bone < not sure of spelling> in my right. It took me about a year to get back into my heels, but luckily I can still wear them, like I mentioned not to high though.

They make such elegant shoe's with heels, all i can do is look at them, and drool LOL... but that's ok, it's just one of "those things" :)

I have the worlds ugliest feet and can't stand anything between my toes, so flip flops are OUT for me.

What makes these shoes so comfy? I haven't seen them other than in pictures, so am clueless.

I have a pair and I LOOOOVE them! I wear them to work (I waitress) and they're great because they're non-slip! Theyre so comfy you feel like youre floating!

My Crocs just arrived last night. Right on time, I just LOVE Zappo's Shoes!! Anyway, WOW! These shoes I swear are the most comfy ever. I know these will be the one's I wear everyday except for my Ariat cowboy boots when I ride.

Love the color I got too, thrilled to pieces with them. It's a shame they are so ugly, LOL but ya know...I just don't care what they look like, it's the comfort I go for these days. :p

Janet 02-16-2007 05:23 AM

I go for comfort more too! AND even those they are kind of ugly...they grow on you..LOL I can't wait to get mine. When I feel safe enough to get back to Lafayette, I'm definitely getting a pair. Hoperfully they'll have the flip flops and I'll get a pair of those too.

Crocs Description And Sizing For The Best Fit

I copied this from the Crocs shoe description for info purposes... :D

No leather materials used in construction.

Crocs? states these shoes should fit very loosely. The sides of your foot should not really touch the sides of the shoe. Your toes should never make contact with the front of the shoe.

Once you have centered your foot on the foot-bed: You should have about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of space in front of your toes, behind your heel and when you lift the strap you should be able to comfortably get your finger between the strap and heel.

This durable, non-skid, multi- purpose clog is selling to water-sports enthusiasts, hikers, medical professionals, food service workers and fashion consumers.
