oh my I'm so sorry hon. Now I feel guilty for worrying about my flowers. :( . Is wheat your main or only crop?

Wheat isn't our only crop, but it sure makes it hard financially because you have to pay all of the expenses of putting the crop in and fertilizing it, buying seed, and fuel without having a crop to help pay for those expenses. Farming is soooo dependent on the weather. Hail, a freeze, too little water, too much water, too hot or too cold. Everything affects the crops! God is good to us though and it's been a great way to raise a family.

wow you must have a huge place. I thought with the wheat taking up over 200 acres it might be your only one. I hope the cold doesn't affect your crops & your family.

I think that we farm over 1,000 acres right now. I'll have to check with my husband and let you know for sure. My son quit farming and we have his ground too. You can see that 200 acres is a good share of it though. Some people farm a lot more and some a lot less. It depends on where you live and what you farm on how much ground it takes to make a good living.
