We will definitely be praying for them!!!

Janet how sad. I am sorry to hear this, my prayers go out to your niece and family at this time. On Good Friday, my girlfriend told me that her sister in laws brother shot himself and he didn't survive either, he was 55 and depressed. It is so sad to hear that people are so down and out and that this can happen. God bless their souls.

This is a very sad situation. I am so thankful that your neice was unharmed. Depressed, disfunctional guys are likely to harm others as well. I'm sure that your neice will get a lot of love from her family and I hope she makes it through this hard time.

Janet, how are your niece, and family doing???

stephluvsangel6 04-18-2007 03:02 PM

omg im am so so sad and sorry to hear this
i had a cousin back in arkansas and she has been married to his guy for years and everyone told her about him back when they were first together and she didnt listen and so she stayed and he has been the worst man ever in my opinion
he is way way overweight yet he tells her shes fat and shes sick and she needs to diet and such and he goes out without her and beats on her and such and it just goes on and on and one night i guess he went out drinking and such and was at a party and someone said something to him or somehting and he just went crazy and he shot himself in the head at the party in front of all these people and he made it though im not sure why or how of the details but he made it and was in the hosptail and all i said to her was i hope he realizes whats going on and that he wasting his life like the way hes been acting

and no one knows why he shot himself such as depressed or such imean hes just a mean mean man but i think cause he was voilent and such he wanted to die i dont know they said he just wanted to feel pain but you now its a sad situtaion to be in and every one of well most every one has had a time when they just didnt want to live

i just want to say im sorry and im sorry that she has to go through it and have to be left behind and i hope she does not feel guilty

Thanks you all! My neice and her family are doing fine. My brother said he thought she was going back to work this week. She may even get another apartment. She doesn't like being back at home (they tell her their opinions and she could care less) and she also has a pit bull that my brother said could not stay. Good for him!!!

I haven't talked to my brother in a few days, but I will shortly. Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers. I'm sure it's just going to take her some time.

I'm glad she is doing well Janet. Thank goodness she is able to cope with her pain and move on. It's really the only thing to do in a situation like that... I just feel so sorry for her though... :(

I hope she is not just putting on a "brave face" to get hit by reality later on. Hope she is dealing with it. I also feel sorry for her.

Janet 04-19-2007 05:03 AM

I don't think she is putting on a brave face. You'd really have to know my niece. Not a very caring or compassionate young lady. To tell you the truth, I don't think she was in love with this guy. He was her first boyfriend, she's 27 years old, very, VERY heavy, not very attractive inside or out. I think she was just afraid she wouldn't be able to get someone else. I know that sounds cold, but my niece isn't a very nice person...never has been even when she was little.

I think she'll be just fine. Who knows maybe it will change her in a good way.

Janet, God bless you for your honesty.
I think many families have someone like that and people just don't want to admit it. Just one of the reasons I admire you. I get the impression you just "tell it like it is".

Dear Janet:

I'm so sorry that your family is having troubles and will be praying for them. Thank God he didn't hurt your niece. Maybe this will help change her perspective on things.

Judy

I always worry that people will think I'm cold or something, but I promise everyone...I'll never lie to you. I do 'tell it like it is' most of the time. I do have to stop and think once in awhile to make sure how it comes across.

My other niece (her sister) is 32 and she's never really had a boy friend either. Thing is, she is also very heavy, but really sweet, caring compassionate and she would do anything for people, just a great person to be around.

I wish both were not as heavy as they are...for their health. They are both more than heavy, it's obsesity plain and clear. I know they eat a lot because they are alone, (both want husbands and families of their own) but they are ruining their health. I'm heavy, so it's nothing against heavy people. I just think if they could try to take some of it off, especially since they are still young, it would help them in their quest.

Most of my family didn't really know him. We are thankful that he didn't take her with him and hopefully, doubtful, but hopefully it will change her perspective.

Yes, that's a very valid concern. My brother's scout leader was murdered by her husband before he took his own life. I'm glad that didn't happen to your neice. She's very lucky...
