Would it be too nosey of me to ask why you don't get to see him very often? :( Right now, my greatest fear is not being able to see my son once he's out on his own. I know he's only 16, but I'm worried already.

That's not nosey Janet, it's ok. We all used to live in WA state, then I divorced. I moved to Arkansas and Brian stayed in WA. All the inbetween is a very long story and I won't bore you with all that. :p

This was the first time I've seen him as a man and it's hard to explain that feeling that a Mom get's seeing this look on their son for the first time. It's a good feeling. It's a new level of a relationship between Mom and Son, and it's just been heartwarming. I noticed for the first time a "role" switch if that makes sense. I see the protection he now has over me in his eyes and actions now. Before it was just me, Mom trying to protect my son. All that switched over time. It's been cool!! He's so appreciative of me and proud of his Mom. It's just beautifully awesome!!

In time, you will experience this too with your own Son Janet. No worries of not seeing your Son Janet. Oh he will venture out to find himself and grow but he won't forget you. He will always love you.

Janet, you don't have any thing to worry about. I think that there's always a special bond between mother and son and between father and daughter. My son is easier to talk to in a lot of ways then the girls are and I know that he would do anything for me.

Sheryl, it sounds like you have a good relationship with your son even though you are a long ways apart. I can tell the pride that you have for him in your comments. You're very blessed!

I agree with Diana on this Janet. You have always expressed a wonderful closeness between you and your son. Oh he might stray off a bit, but will never go too far. As Diana said, no worries. :p

Thank you Sheryl and Diana...that makes me feel a lot better. I just don't think I could handle us not being close.

Boys do love their Moms! That bond between you and your son shows through the picture Sheryl. I think that's part of the reason it's such a great photo.

He's so handsome, and you're some hot mama!
