Diana, how is your FIL doing? Do they know when he'll be released or has he already?
My husband thinks that he'll be released from the hospital today. He's also been a little bit disoriented. I guess that yesterday he went to the bathroom, which is shared with another room, when he went to walk out he couldn't remember which door he came in or even if he was in the right bed. My kids are upset over him not feeling well. He's been the best grandparent that my kids have had. He has always been so good about doing things with them!
Thanks for all of your prayers! The good news is that my husband and a friend led him to the Lord yesterday! That's the best news of all and my husband is real excited over it! |
Oh Diana, that is the BEST news ever!
I'm so thrilled for him. My prayers will continue. thanks for the updates. |
My husband said that they're not going to let him out today after all. They're going to keep an eye on the thickness of his blood for a while. He should have had a doctor doing that already, but with him having doctors in Nebraska and the doctor that he had here left, it's one of those things that nobody was keeping an eye on.
Diana I feel for you and your family, hopefully he will be released from the hospital soon. Sending prayers and well wishes....
Diana, as always..I have you and your family in my prayers. I bet your husband is just so thankful he was able to do that for his father.
Diana,
That's a blessing for both of them. You're all in my prayers. |
My FIL is getting out of the hospital today. He's got some appointments set up for later but it sounds like there's not much that can be done. Once a stroke affects an area of your brain it takes your brain a while to work around the bad area. Where his eyes are affected he will probably never get that sight back. It's going to be really hard for him to adjust. He's always been so active, always helping people. The good news is that he can see just a little bit so it's not complete blindnss.
I hope he adjust well to being home. Maybe it will help to be in familiar surroundings.
I hope he is home and doing better. Thank God he has some vision... Keep us posted..

The best thing the kids can do for him is to love him and let him know that this won't change a thing. They will be doing more for him now and thats ok. My Papa was a very sick man for so long. He had a stroke that left him unable to walk or talk. With my Granny's love and support he learned to walk and talk all over. The one thing I noticed with Papa was that once he had his stroke he lost many friends and my mother and my half-sister's quit coming to see him. I think that was very hard on him. It sounds like your FIL has a HUGE support group and that will mean the world to him. It is always very hard seeing loved ones go through something like this. It was very hard for me so I know it must be for your family. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. HUGS
