What was your surgery for? Did it fix the problem?

Oh my, did she have cancer?
I had nerve entrapment in my elbow due to an injury. If not for the surgery, I would never have any use of my left arm.
God bless her.

She did, but it's gone now. She still goes to see her oncologist and surgeon regularly and gets blood work and hormone pills, but she's doing so well considering the stage she was in. We were really blessed!

I'm so sorry to hear about your injury, but I'm glad it's being fixed and you'll still be able to use your arm. Just take it easy and give yourself plenty of recovery time!

I am trying real hard with the recovery time. Have a hard time with not being able to clean my home. I am THE ONLY FEMALE in my family.

Give the guys some chores! ;)

Donna, you need to demand some help. Just pass out some chore lists and then make them follow it. Hopefully you're recover more quickly than anyone thought, but in the meantime..make them help you!

Donna, I'm glad to hear that you're doing so well. I agree with Janet that they guys can help out with the chores. It sure won't hurt them and maybe they'll appreciate you a little more!!! You just take care of yourself and don't try to over do!!!

Hoping all is still going well. Don't worry about your house. There will be plenty of time to catch up. You need to take the time to heal properly so you can be in tip-top shape for the long term!! Wishing you a healthy and speedy recovery!!

I hope you felt better today than yesterday! Keep taking it easy.

Janet 12-30-2008 06:02 AM

Donna, how you doing today? Hope things have improved with the help situation.

Donna,

How's that arm today? Leave the house. Believe me, the dust and mess will patiently wait for you.

WONDERFUL, the Doctor said that I am one in many that will not need physical therapy. Have no problems with movement, JUST DON"T BUMP THE ELBOW.
:cry::cry:
Thanks for thinking of me.

So is it a good thing or a bad thing that you don't need PT? Does that mean you're healing properly on your own?

How are you feeling today?

It is a miracle, a good thing. Most people lose the mobility in their arm, wrist and hand. Mine is as strong as before the surgery. But it could be bad if I don't remember not to lift anything heavier than a coffee cup for another month. NO PAIN, they just can't believe it.

DianaB 12-31-2008 08:54 AM

That's great news!!! Just don't over do it!!!
