Lindsay, I think that sounds like a great trip - I know you will have a ball!!! I wouldn't mind traveling alone at all either, in fact, there are many times when I am traveling alone (usually for business) and I love it.

I'm glad that things worked out and that you are happy with your decision!!!

Now, I'm jealous, I've never been to Europe!!!

Too bad that everyone can't have an opportunity to visit Europe. It's a lot smaller than some of us realize. I'll have to find a map that superimposes Europe on top of the United States to give a perspective.

I found a couple of links with comparisons:

How about a 4WT meetup in Europe? :D

Are you treating????? :)

I've really never been anywhere. I've been to Florida and we drove so I've been through the states in between Indiana and Florida. I've been to Dallas, Texas, I loved it there so much! Also been to Tulsa, Ok. That's it.

Exactly what I was thinking!

By the way, Kandace needs to be told off but good! Send me her phone number and I'll give her a talking to!

...and, the European adventure sounds amazing!

I'm jealous. I may only get to go to Arizona for, like, three days this year. Woo.
Congratulations, though. It sounds like an absolute blast.

Janet, once y'all get caught up from hubby being off, and the economy improves, which I'm sure it will, you have to get out!!!! There are lots of tours. My BIL wanted to go to Mexico so bad, but my sister had absolutely no interest at all. She'd been to the border towns and wanted no part of it. He finally told her he was booking a tour and going by himself if she wouldn't go. She went and had a wonderful time.

There are trips, if you shop around, that aren't too costly. Traveling is so much fun!!! Just getting away from it all is one of the biggest things. I've been blessed to have done a fair amount of traveling, both business and pleasure, and can't wait until our next trip.

I am hoping someday to do some traveling. I would love it myself. I always thought that I'd be traveling more than what little I have...so I'm not giving up hope. I'm not real interested in going overseas, but there are so many places here in the states that I would love to visit.

Lindsey I admire your spunk and independence that is wonderful.. Save for the trip to Europe I am sure you will not regret it. I have done some traveling, but my dream is to go to Italy one day. So much culture and I would love to see where my family came from.

lol awww.... Kandace has always been more of a "going out" friend. I pretty much only see her when we go to a bar. That's the kind of person she is, which is why I don't think I would have had as much fun on her trip anyway. I found out last time I went to Mexico that too many margaritas on the beach in the sun during the day don't allow me to go out at night lol. Kandace was really good in New York, just a little upset one night when she wanted to go out and the rest of us passed out after a long day. But we have not seen each other since, and she hasn't been inviting me on anything else. She's the same girl I took pole dancing classes with, and she didn't tell me she signed up for the second set of classes until the classes were already full :( A lot of my friends have told me many times that she seemed really sketchy.. but she was always so nice to me! Oh well. Friends come and go.

Thanks Gina! Everyone I've talked to about Europe have been so supportive, even my parents! My mom is a little uneasy about me going alone, but they both know how badly I want to go.
I was supposed to go to Scotland as an exchange student in high school, because it was my dream to go there. I had all the paperwork filled out, the medical work done and signed by my doctor, but before I could submit it, my boyfriend at the time and his family talked me out of it. I dated the guy for 3 years and thought I would marry him, and he told me he would take me someday if I didn't go without him. I gave up my chance, and he broke up with me less than a year later :(
My dad's side of the family comes from Scotland and England, and my grandparents on my mom's side are both Hungarian. I really really want to go to Hungary but I would have to add on another week. I'd like to go back someday though and see Hungary eventually. I'd like to find family there!
