My positives today:

1. That dh just called and is about a half hr from being home for the weekend. I am home by myself till then, so we will actually have the house to ourselves when he gets here!!! :eek: That doesn't happen often.

2. I got to sneak a nap this afternoon.

3. I have a couple who was here last weekend coming to pick up their puppy on Saturday and 2 more trying to set appointments to look at them.

Let's see, my positive for today is I was able to talk with a very good friend on the phone this morning. It was so nice being able to share.

I sold another pup tonight! Once the one tomorrow goes, I'll be down to 3... unless the couple tomorrow can't come to a decision between the 2 they like and end up taking both as the man joked about. lol I'd LOVE it if they bought 2!

Wow girls, Looks like I missed a great post in here.... I went back and reread everything.. Lots of friendly banter...lol

I have a postive but it happened last week, and if I may brag. My daughter whom is in her third year of college and is graduating this year. She did four years in three in order to get accepted into medical school. She is God willing going to be an optometrist. She takes her medical test in Dec. so ladies say a prayer please she came this far and is so stressed out. My husband and I went to a dinner at the school in her honor, she made the chemistry honor society. I am very proud of her. I just had to brag.. :)

That is really something Gina! Congrats to your daughter for doing so well and her upcoming graduation!! :thumbup: Congrats to you and hubby for all your hard work and backing to your daughter. :p

I was busy yesterday so didn't get my "positive" in. It would be I had a great time horse back riding/laughing/and just relaxing.

Today's positive is I am spending some time with our BBBS Little. It's going to be a good day. ;)

My positive for today, got up early, went gorcerie shopping, came back home, my parents had arrived for a visit, we had a nice time together, laughed, joked, and got some serious talking done.
This evening, my husband, and i went out for dinner, and had a good conversation about a lot of things.

The Apricot pup just left for his new home.
The couple finally decided on him. (He's the one the lady had wanted from the start... surprise surprise.) :) So now I'm down to 3 male pups left to sell. 1 white, and 2 cream/honey.

It is the Big Brother Big Sister Program mentoring a small child.

We had such a good day together. It just warms my heart. :p

I am feeling well today. I also talked to Angela earlier today and she was about ten minutes away from Maddie's house. They were spending the day with them and then leaving with Maddie.

Everyone has so much going on - it's great to hear about it all.

River - thanks for the volunteer work - you are making the world better for all of us. What do you enjoy most about BBBSL? Is there something you really like to do with your little friend? What is hardest about it?

Thanks. I don't know about making the world a better place, but I do know it brightens a childs day. Doing so is what I enjoy most. Our outtings together are anything from lunch and a movie to simple days of hanging out together. Our relationship has grown and the only difficult aspect would be trying to schedule our time together within our busy lives.

I always find the hard part of working with "my kids" is that I can't fix everything for them. I am sure what you do will never be forgotten. The space away from stress and worry when one is just accepted and allowed to be a kid is often the most important in a child's life.

Forgot my positive - let's see - I don't have to go out to do work today - all here on the computer so I can get more done :)

We had a nice lazy/cosy morning with just the 3 of us, talking, had breakfast, and just hang around. I cooked a batch of food for the fur kids, and watched a movie. Late this afternoon, we went to a restaurant, and had a hot/cold buffet, had some drinks, and laughs, it was good all round.

What a great day! :thumbup:

My positive would be that my hubby and I finished water sealing/staining the deck.
